What's sellable?
I've noticed that I can't sell items I've received/made in games (particularly TF2). These items don't explicitly say "cannot be sold" or something like that, yet when I want to sell sometime, they can't be selected to sell. Is there some condition items need to be in to be sold? Or is it a case-by-case thing (i.e. Steam/Valve says you can't sell this particular item)? Thank you.

Yes i also noticed that problem but only some few games support the tradable/sellable items. Tf2 isn't one of them

Well it's weird because I can sell some items in TF2 (particularly strange or genuine weapons or cosmetics) but not other weapons or cosmetics.

I know. It's weird but somehow it sometimes work and also sometimes it doesn't work
Only items tagged as "marketable" can be sold on the market. Items you just bought are subject to a seven day cooldown, crafted items should inherit the highest cooldown of the items used for crafting them.
Lots of things from TF2 aren't marketable, yes. But most of them are items which are so common they'd have a market value of 3 cents and won't shift anyway.
I know only items listed as marketable can't be sold, but is there a pattern I should look for in items that are marketable so that I don't have to check every time I have an item?
It's been a while for me with TF2, but if you got an item through achievements or as complementary (like the halloween events), they're usually restricted. If you got them as random drop and they don't have a prefix (like Strange), they are usually restricted. If you got them through opening a crate with paid keys, they can usually be marketed.
Absolutely no clue about the whole skin stuff.
Oh alright. Thank you for the tip cinedine!
