Free games
How come Epic Games manages to provide pretty good free games and Steam proposes only games that nobody knows? Being in the business since September 12, 2003 they can surely afford this.

Epic Games
Has offered so many free games, half decent games... GTA V and CIV VI are a couple of the biggest....

STEAM I love you but you need to expand/change or you gonna get taken out by EPIC

Then go there. Bye.

No you go there, hi

And to add to my point, all the big releases are either not on steam or delayed release on steam.

C'mon !!!!!!!

Because Epic throws money at them to do so. They're desperate to bring users into their featureless store.

Sometimes, having less features is a good thing or are you actually seeing anything positive in idiotic "this game made me ♥♥♥ 10/10 IGN" 'reviews' or meme 'guides' and that's 90% of the reviews and guides on Steam since there are no regulations or control over the ♥♥♥♥.
Same with the workshop: Mostly anime and meme crap nobody over the age of 12 needs.
Really, anybody sane and adult enough wouldn't miss this crap at all. So Epic not having it, is a massive positive.
Dreadjaws 22 Thg05, 2020 @ 7:38pm
Oh, not this again. Epic is doing all of this because it's literally the only way they can attract customers to their barebones, buggy store. Steam doesn't need to do this because they simply offer a good service. It's as simple as that. They're not going to start offering major games for free just because you people whine about it. You're literally demonstrating not to be interested in being a paying customer. Why would they listen to you?

This faux argument again. "Many people abuse their freedom, so it'd be better if we didn't have freedom at all!" Not surprised no one can come up with good arguments to defend the EGS. There aren't any.

Such as?

I've seen this a few times from people bemoaning Valve.

But curiously, when asked for evidence, it gets awfully quiet.

And I wondered when things would start to drift round to comparing a platform that is throwing loss leaders around as their new and desperate for trade to compare to Valve, who are established.

But those "big" releases you say Valve aren't getting, please.

But just before you do post your answer, make sure you are intellectually honest and check say a site like Gamefaqs and find ALL the last few months release in totalis so that you can get things right. SO don't cherry pick.

Have at it.

Can you match the deal?
Civ 6 is a free download on epic games. I would much rather have it on Steam. But I'm not paying 60$ for a game that old. So how about it can you match Epic games?
Brujeira 23 Thg05, 2020 @ 9:39am
That’s down to the publisher as they set the prices.
cSg|mc-Hotsauce 23 Thg05, 2020 @ 9:40am
Valve can't match anything. The Civ game devs/pubs are in charge of pricing for their titles on Steam.

Go bug them.

No, Valve doesn’t pay unilaterally to give away licenses to games that have some other giveaway somewhere else. :homelol:

You have two options then:
a) buy on EGS, but live with the consequences of an underdeveloped and likely staying that way store
b) Do not buy the game

Hint: Civ5 is a better game.

a) It is currently free on Epic.
