Keep in mind that many of these games have licensing issues, though. I would love to see Scarface and The Godfather there but it's very unlikely to happen for this reason...
Yes, it is better than EGS since it has a lot more games, that's all.
To be fair, raw sewage is better than the EGS. :P
Well, have fun playing there then :P
Nah, I've purchased games there, and they weren't even exclusives.
I'd definitely agree with this sentiment.
I play on as many platforms as I wish and I'm not fanboyish in the slightest. All have their flaws and bonuses too.
Steam is ultimately the market leader as it offers a wide range of things that are convenient. From decent prices in mad sales, to possibly the least intrusive DRM (as long as it's the ONLY DRM). Coupled with the largest player base of course.
But GO is a decent second. It's largely a different market, mind as it has traditionally focused on older games that tend to get forgotten or left by the wayside. But best of all, NO DRM. So once you've bought it you can back it up as much as you like forever. Plus even if you're like me, who has a lot of those older games still on physical copies, they're sometimes a pain in the arse to get going again on modern systems.
So for a few quid you can buy another copy just for the convenience of having them do all that work for you as GOG games run on modern systems. YOu sometimes get a few silly extras like artwork, soundtracks and the like.
Outside of this all the other platforms tend to have more cons to pros. Epic has masses of problems, as does Origin and UPlay. Plenty of times they simply don't work for bizarre reasons.
Just like the Steam market. It's incredibly easy to get stuck there, you click next page and it never loads.
This is talking about the GAME STORE. There's plnety of server related issues here not all of which can be fixed because that's how the internet works.
And I didn't say you said that?
But regardless it's still remains irrelevant to the game store for the reasons I pointed out.
ALL online services have issues with oinline parts when server loads get high. ALL time out under certain conditions.
