Sale ended?
It says the sale is until 1/4 and I had several items in my cart that are no longer discounted. Can I reach someone about this? Thanks.

It is the 4th and the sale ended at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.

Steam Support cannot give you a discount that has ended.

The main store page stated the exact TIME in addition to the date. It was roughly 4 and a half hours ago.

This is unfortunate.. Hopefully they can make an exception.

No they cannot make an exception. Valve can only sell the games at the price the publishers/devs set. If the game is no longer on sale you will not get it for the sale price.

Why did you wait? The age of flash sales is over

In this situation, treating you in a distinct or separate manner from others would be rather unjust. Why grant you a singular or unique treatment? Are you of special importance or relevance?

It's a simple hope for a grace period. I would expect the same treatment if anyone else requested it from them on the same day the sale ended. Really not that outrageous of a request.

Yes, it is. You had weeks to buy stuff AND they told you when the sale would stop, to the minute.

The period of time to make a purchase at discounted price is over.. either pay full price or wait for the next sale.

steam cannot sell you something below the price the game developer set. remember, all prices are set by that games developer, not steam. the discount is decided by that games developer, not steam. steam does not own the games it sells, it only takes a cut of the money from the sale.

if you made a game and put it on steam, would you be happy to find out they sold your game below the price you set? I know I wouldn't, and that could result in some very expensive lawsuits and/or dev's pulling their games from steam.

as nice as it would be, the sale of one game to you is not worth it.

Fun fact, the sale over at the Epic Store is still going. Maybe they have what you want. Or try one of the key sellers listed on isthereanydeal.com

The sale lasted for 2 weeks, which is longer than most other stores of any kind put something on sale for. And the Steam homepage clearly said "January 4th, 10AM PST", just to make sure people knew exactly when it would end. That's why I made my last minute purchases on the 2nd.

A grace period only applies to failed purchases during the event.

The grace period was the 2 weeks the sale lasted. You missed it.

It is.

Because the terms are clear you're not going to get it. Your point is far from uncommon. We see this e3very sale period where people don't realise that it works off local time.

But they NEVER give you a grace period simply because to do so they'd have to agree this with the IP owners and that would be a lot of faffing around just for an extra sales. So no it' IS an unreasonable request.

For the future, remember that ALL steam updates and sales and such all change (or finish) at 12 noon Seattle time. Whatever that is in your local time zone. For me here in Britain it equates to 6pm.
