Steam change la store location
So the problem is that STEAM, changed my store location to the country I am living now, without warning.
Also I didnt buy any game or balance from this country. My only income was from crates from csgo sold in the comunity market in my previous country currency.

Isn´t that against the rules they have?

What happens if I move and want to change the store country to the new location?
If you've moved to a new place or live abroad for an extended period of time, you can update your Steam locale when you complete your first purchase using a payment method from that region. If your location differs from your Steam account's current locale, you will have the option to change your store region while viewing your cart or when you complete your purchase.

Example: A user moves from Germany to the United States
Let's say you've recently moved from Germany to the United States. At checkout, you will be able to select the region you are currently in on the cart page. From this page, you will be able to select the United States to update your cart, pricing, and payment method options. After completing your purchase with a US payment method, your account region will be updated to the United States.

What if I want to purchase in a different currency or region than shown?
Your store country must be the country where you currently reside and you must have a local payment method that you can use to make purchases.

All payment methods available in your current region are detailed during the checkout process.

If you can't make purchases in your current region, look for Steam-compatible product keys or Steam Wallet codes for sale at local retailers.

I haven t made any purchase with any payment method in this country.
As you said, it is in the FAQ.

All the transfer in the wallet were in my previous country currency, and also my crate sales.

I didnt buy balance in euros, so I was still using a payment method from my previous country...
Bought many games with my balance in pesos and with pesos prices.

So if my wallet was in my old currency and I didnt buy balance in euros, and sold my crates in pesos argentinos still is using a payment method from Spain?

It makes no sense, in that case If I use a VPN to buy from Argentina It should give me the posibility to change location, but i know it doesnt from another post

Publicly posting that you are willing to violate the Steam Subscriber Agreement by using a VPN to change your currency is not recommended.

You are not physically in Argentina hence, your store was changed to the correct country, Spain.

I am not saying I am willing to use a vpn, THATS THE POINT OF SAYING IT MAKES NO SENSE TO START WITH, I am saying that anyone who uses a VPN could do that then, Everyone would do that to take advantage of those countries. I didnt because my currency never change

you dont live in argentine anymore, so you dont belong using argentine pesos.
valve enforced a reset to the region people were actual in, changing their regional store to that.

this would be triggered by checkout from either the store or through an microtransaction.

the payment method in itself did not matter.

And where does it say that?
Checkout and microtransaction are all in my old currency, Never change it to euros.

If its going to be trigger just for the region where i am It shouldn t say "you can update your Steam locale when you complete your first purchase using a payment method from that region"

You are saying exactly what I am trying to say and that it not in the FAQ

Yeah that ok, but the balance i ve got in Argentina doesnt convert correctly to the prices i ve got there.
And in the FAQ doesnt give me any warning of that convertion, nor steam before doing the conversion.

If they explain correctly that i would have used my balance before.

Is not that hard.

In that case if you go to argentina with a balance of 500 dollars they should covert it to 500 pesos argentinos right, to adapt to the store location right? Or still not getting it?

But yeah...not too much thinking about that.

OP wasnt abusing his old location because, OPs balance WAS from his old location.

IF I would have bought balance with euros converted to pesos from the NEW location, that would be abusing.

Please read before saying BS.

You need to make your purchase in the region you are currently located in and use a payment method that is associated with a postal address in that region. The Steam Support team cannot help you change the Steam store region in your profile.

Steam store currency and prices are based on your location. All payment methods available in your region will be displayed during checkout.

You can change the store region in your profile if you move to another region.

Please see our Steam Store Country article for more information.

Exactly what I'm saying.
They changed my region without having made any purchases in the CURRENCY OF THE NEW REGION.
So why did they change my currency?

I should continue having my account in ARGENTINE PESOS.

Attach the PHOTOS TO PROVE THAT THE CONVERSION WAS DONE WITHOUT NOTICE OR PURCHASES IN THE NEW REGION.

AGAIN I REQUEST THAT I BE CHANGED TO ARGENTINE PESOS

Summary
I had my account/wallet in ARGENTINE PESOS.

I DID NOT make PURCHASES of credit or games in Spain or Andorra.

THEY CONVERTED MY PESOS TO EUROS WITHOUT NOTICE.

I WANT MY BALANCE AND STORE TO BE PUT BACK IN ARGENTINE PESOS

NOTHING ELSE

We've updated your account's Steam store country to match the region you reside in.

Please try the purchase again. If you need to use an external payment method to make a purchase, make sure that payment method was issued in Spain.

Unfortunately, we cannot change the Steam store region to a region where you do not originally belong. We have sufficient evidence confirming that you do not reside in Argentina. Therefore, this decision is final and no exceptions will be made. (THAT NOT WHAT IT SAYS IN FAQ)

If you want to change the Steam store region to Argentina, the only way to do it. is that your current location, payment method and billing address of the payment method are from Argentina.

Since we have provided you with all the information we have available about your issue, we are closing this help request. If you have a different problem, create a new help request and we will be happy to help you.

Keep in mind, any other request you make on this topic to change the region back to Argentina again, you will receive the same response.

They have answered me this, and that is not what their rules dictate, it does not matter that they have evidence that I reside in Spain or Argentina, to change the location of a store you must make a purchase on balance or buy games.
AND, as I said before, I ALSO HAVE SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE TO PROVE THAT I DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASE OF ANY KIND USING A PAYMENT METHOD FROM THIS REGION (SPAIN)
THEREFORE YOUR ANSWER IS NOT VALID AND I'M SURE THAT ANYONE IN YOUR LEGAL DEPARTMENT WILL SAY THE SAME THING.

I'll copy it exactly as it says on its own STEAM questions page.

I AGAIN ATTACH THE FILE WHERE I SHOW THAT I HAVE NO PURCHASES MADE OF ANY KIND, NOR AN ASSIGNED CREDIT CARD.

And I tell you more, the same response that STEAM gives me right now when I open the incident, is what I say, therefore for them to tell me, THIS DECISION IS FINAL, is a violation of their own rules.

What do I do now?
If you've moved to a new country or are living abroad for an extended period of time, you can update your Steam country settings when
completing your first purchase with a payment method from that country. If your location does not match the current store country of your Steam account, you will have the option to change the store region while viewing your cart or at checkout.
If you still can't complete a purchase in your new country with a payment method from that region, you can contact Steam Support for further assistance.

I also attach a photo

According to their own rules, they have no right to update the country of my Steam store with my place of residence if I have not purchased any service or balance.
This sounds more like an attempt to scam me into using a payment method in euros and not Argentine pesos, knowing that it is against the rules.

That is to say, everything I had accumulated since I came from there and the boxes that I sold in pesos in relation to the prices of that country, I lost.
You save for months to be able to buy games since you come from Argentina without having a way to deposit money into Steam, so that when I have 4000 Argentine pesos in my wallet and I want to buy a game that costs 800 pesos, they make a terrible conversion and now I They leave 10 euros in their wallet and the same game is worth 11? The truth is crazy.

I don't see it fair at all. They could have given me notice of the conversion at least so I knew I had to spend my balance to use it. Now 10 euros is not even enough to buy discounted games.
But hey, valve is always right, the one who lost time and money in relation to the prices was me,

Thank you so much...

Do you know what the funniest part is?

When I d arrived to Spain I tried yo change the store location to chek prices, and STEAM didn´t let me because I couldm ´t buy a game or balance WITH A PAYMENT METHOD, NO WALLET

Now they just converted it because they want it, without notice or explanation in FAQ.

STEAM is the one abusing it politics applying then when they want.
