And to understand why they attacked, you have to look into the past. Not even that far. Just a few years are enough.

Unity is a nice proposal... unfortunately unity requires that all sides lay down their weapons and look beyond their differences.

Which is nigh impossible if religion and ideology are involved.

Here's what the problem is, at the base of everything there is always racial hatred and certain strange religions and ideologies do nothing but amplify this hatred. And how stupidly interesting it is after a crime, to scream the name of Allah Akbar, thinking of being supported, justified or protected, a mere self-belief, that is.
The whole society really has a big problem, including Western countries who also avoid mentioning their crimes anyway.
Who is actually clean? Absolutely nobody.

It won't happen. Hamas isn't interested in any deals, 2 states solutions etc. They want to destroy Israel, no matter the costs.
All of this is literally in their charter, so paradoxically only way to achieve any form of peace in region is to eliminate them as a faction.
Besides both sides, would need to make serious concessions to another.

What if?

What if, it was possible just saying, to get the people who want peace to put aside the differences and those people on both sides can live together in a greater area in that region / country / land.
Those in Hamas who refuse to give up their hatred and same with some Israelis put them in the other part of that land where they can do conflict and leave the real people to get on with living.

Religion was originally about seeking something beyond the self imagine growing up not having a tv or books but having the sparklings of intelligence needing to understand what and why beyond survival.
It also served as unifying force and that should be the common ground of the people who want to just get along anyway.

Except that's not how it works because Hamas was created out of Israel

So Israel has a terrorist organization they started as a means to an end.

The current conflict right now is probably Palestinians being gunned down

Also, how do you only care about what happens now? Isn't part of the entire "help me", built upon the Jewish people's past, that is, the holocaust?

I really don't think they need help. They're chosen people, according to themselves. They should fight for themselves and with no outside funding

I mean thats like asking if I prefer Voldemort or Dumbledore; heh.
In respects both are equally powerful but if you want to know the truth? Sauron, sure he may of had access to the surface world for a brief time but compared to a human wizard, Sauron's power may be far greater, same situation like with Voldemort and Dumbledore. Voldemort is rather powerful but he reserves most of his power while even alive, going so far to even use an army to attack the castle and only attacking once in the school court yard.

Well I cant speak for that but I can say is the Franks (of Christendom) took Jerusalem they went berserk and massacred people.
Saladin (of Islam) as far as I know which isn't much did not massacre the people and said carry on with your religions.
The power of Islam is not in its violence only the power hoarders are into that look at the idiots screaming for violence and the fools screaming in agreement.
Power of Islam It is in its being accepted into other areas and being allowed to settle and prosper and from there it can grow without the use of violence. As you can see in England as a good example.
If Muslims turned up on the shores one day and started threatening people the football hooligans would've just gone and beaten them up before the reinforcements arrived.
But England is a multi cultural country despite what BLM try to say and Islam and other cultures have done quite well when they just do what everybody else does and just get along.
