i got bunch of +18 games how do i hide those from friends?

Well as title says, can you hide some specific games from your friends so they don't see what you got and judge your degeneracy?

i haven't bought any yet loool but some are cheap, with trading cards, achievements etc i mean you can get some for 0.50 cents, anyways is it possible? i don't want to hide all my stuff just few titles :p

Sorry, but I fail to understand why you'd be embarrased to play such games? If your friends have issues with that then that's a "they" problem, as the others already mentioned. Brains getting blown out isn't an issue but oh dear if you see too much human skin!!

Just because a game is 18+ or just because a game shows nudity doesn't automagically make it a dirty or crappy game that's only about nekkid people. I think some random readers could actually end up surprised here because I have several of such games which - besides b00bs - also provide a really solid and fun game mechanic and/or storyline.

In more than one case I couldn't help stop laughing when I was going over a visual novel because the story became so absurd yet also so darn funny... and some of these games can be pretty darn complex.

So yah, IMO you got nothing to be ashamed for.

I know I'm not really on topic anymore with this post, sorry... I can't find a single "adult game" that's halfway decent, do you have recommendations?
(I don't like visual novels and I don't like puzzle games, also don't care for anime cartoon graphics. The "best" game in this category I've played so far is "This Time" and I'm generous in calling it a game, it barely has any gameplay mechanics. "Midnight Ride" is okay graphics-wise but also not really a game, no gameplay at all. Both are visual novels, don't even have animations just static images. I rather watch real porn, real life has even better graphics and I don't have to click through heaps of stupid dialogue... don't get me wrong I love dialogue-heavy games just not badly-written dialogue.)

I do not have any issues with people who play it.

If you want to play them, and still keep your game list be public, just do it.

Few people are going to go through everything in your profile anyway, and if they do not want to be friends with you just because of that, you might be better off without them anyway.

That being said, a compromise would be keeping your game list private the moment you decide to play them, and especially when you buy adult games, and keep the list private for a few days to a week. This will prevent Activity-related news related to these games from popping up in your friends' activity feed.

While game achievements might be hard to discern and appear relatively innocuous, "New Game" notices are definitely not. On a public game list, you can try to drown such news by buying lots of other "regular" games at the same time.

You could make 2nd account, and family share with it, please note not all games can be family share as devs choose to opt their games in, or out of family sharing.


Another option is make playtime private which hide your recent list, and playtime. You also want to appear offline, or make profile or game private when playing your games you don't want anyone to see what you're playing.

If it's of serious issue for you, I'd recommend having separate accounts, a SFW and NSFW one, that's the most effective way to do that, just inconvenient switching.

Personally not many of my IRL Friends or such pay attention to Steam or my Profile, and I'm comfortable with my enjoyment of most things lewd, so I don't bother hiding.

You haven't found the right ones then, while AO Games on Steam experience worse shovelware than any other type (Low tier Indie devs relying on "sex sells") there are some very strong entries that break the mould, Karryn's Prison in particular is notable for having innovative gameplay that more than holds being a top tier strategic Turn Based RPG and is actually the main reason fans of it continue to play it instead of just the tits, and it fuses the smuttiness with the combat seamlessly.
Genuine unironic masterpiece, if anyone here is at all interested in Adult Gaming you owe it to yourself to try it out, absolute must play.

There's a number of other good ones like Princess & Conquest and Third Crisis and Spunkstock but nothing can top Karryn.
