Steam Disscussions are infested with bad eggs!

It is more than obvious that Steam Discussions are infested with alternate accounts of Steam Support Members who bait and ban people who they not aggree with.

Typical work of someone who wants to censore users. :D

Always the same people baiting with their replies, insulting others, starting arguments, but they never get banned. :D How interesting. :D

Also, always the same people giving out bans. :D With made up accusations and later dismissing Steam Support tickets with generic replies. :D

This was a rule earlier, but the rule has recently been removed. (Or at least, it seems no longer in place.) The moderator that banned you for this wasn't aware of these new rules. Or maybe you were banned for it when the old rules still applied. Possibly the moderator wasn't updated, or it made an (unavoidable) mistake by applying the old rules, or else the new rules need to be updated in accordance to the old rules. (Because currently, there isn't a rule in place that forbids you to discuss moderator actions.)

You could try to contact support, so your ban may be lifted, and the moderator in question may be updated, or be informed about the new rules.


I do not know why the rules changed.
If it was up to me, I'd just unban you, because you were banned for an old rule. So yeah... contact support. Explain it. Listen to their point of view, because I do not know how to deal with this.

If they happen to unban you, then please never bring this up again, because it's in the past.

So you're talking about a ban that is several years old. Or from a separate gsmehub that go with different rules.
Not sure how that is relevant now.

I did and steam just throws their hands up and said it is what it is so I haven't bothered with it since then. It could of been before the change, which would make sense, but still in practice to be perma banned for it seemed like overkill. My original ban was for name and shaming which I didn't directly say the persons name, but I'm pretty sure the mod was friends or protecting said person and they clapped me even though I didn't directly name and shame with with their actual user name. I wasn't out here saying racist stuff or anything extreme although I have my views on things and get into arguments, in that case it wasn't anything crazy.

Depends on the circumstance.
How many previous bans, rulebreakings, antagonistic behavior, spam etc did you have under your belt?

The worst of it is in the suggestions thread. And really in EVERY bugs thread for every game. It is IMPOSSIBLE to give you guys a suggesitons or point out a bug without SOME idiot making fun of you and telling everyone to ignore your idea/bug

same people always coming in, saying with absolute confidence there is no way anything unjust occured and its your fault, insult you while also telling you to not insult others. its the type of narcissism and arrogance that is common with someone who abuses power. i never used forums of anykind on here till a couple days ago and can already see the same people constantly with the same attitude everytime.
