2. Ubisoft, "30fps is better than 60 for cinematic experience", Watch Dogs fiasco, AC Unity fiasco, fake trailers, braindead ubisoft formula, etc
3. Warners, I still remember how they sued modders for creating a free LoTR fan project
4. Square. Took them 23 years to remake FFVII on Playstation, another two years to re-release it on PC as an Epic Exclusive and another year to re-re-realease it on Steam. Not to mention the fact that the remake contains only half of the original story. for 79,99€. Expecting second half in 2027 for 99,99€
5. Bethesda lately, for constantly trying to sabotage TES modding community with their idiotic updates for 12 yrs old game.
Once that chunk of overhead hits is usually when the quality of their games starts declining.

they will never get a cent from me
If there's one video game company I know of that has zero redeeming qualities it's Data Design. They are a pretty obscure company and fortunately went bankrupt a few years ago. For context, they made numerous shovelware "games" for the Wii and PS2. One of these games was Ninjabread Man which has retrospectively been viewed as one of, if not, the worst video game of all time. Their other games aren't much better. In fact, most of them are carbon copies of each other; recycled assets, generic level design and the exact same formula and control scheme for all of their games.
They don't need to get a cent from you.
They are the top richest game companies.
They have millions of fan base.
Yes they do need money. They are companies, that's what the business is based on, selling games. Although it seems that lately they are betting on brainwashing with an ideology for a much larger long-term business.
I buy LOADS of games because I've always had a wide range of tastes in most things. I don't like beat em ups and a couple of other genres but that's about it. Plus with having so many consoles and computers it means I typically buy over 300 games each year.
And yet more and more, that gets whittled down in choice because of seeing so many companies do really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti-consumer and anti-staff behaviour.
I will ABSOLUTELY NOT buy anything from ActiBlizz until I see clear evidence for some years that they no longer engage in bullying workers, sexually abusing them and so on.
It's sad to even have to type that frankly as that shouldn't even be a thing.
I just used them as an example because theirs is well known and demonstrated and therefore the best example.
