I based my decisions mostly on laziness, and lack of fixing things, and the same thing over and over, I don't really keep track of the small companies.

Take-Two- Also dislike their business practices
Activision-Blizzard- Ever since the two merged? Nothing but downhill. Also very much dislike Bobby Kotick
Konami- ♥♥♥♥ Konami.
But the worst of the worst, IMHO and in regard to companies which still exist today, is Sega. Anything done by them has always been either average or subpar in term of quality and there is always issues bundled with every single of their games.
Ubisoft
EA
Activision
EA - pure greed. Their sports games have really suffered since their widespread inclusion of microtransactions and it's practically the same experience every annual release.
Activision Blizzard - ran by the devil. For all their money and personnel, they barely produce any quality these days. Many flagship brands ruined by greed and laziness.
Square Enix - sold their entire history on the cheap so they could buy some NFT's that dropped 93% in value 72 hours later, completely wiping out the sale of their soul. GG.
2K - if they aren't selling you microtransactions through a cash shop, they want you to buy 344 pieces of DLC. Their sports games have brick walled just like EA's because money comes first.

All driven by pure Greed. Because having lots of money isn't enough, they want it all.
Currently, I consider 3 companies in the field to be "blacklisted" -- although that's kind of easy considering they aren't doing much in general.
They used to be a source of fun and creative games and I considered them an absolute juggernaut of the industry. Today they're focused on parting children from their (parent's) money, erasing their legacy, and bringing the worst aspects of the console wars to PC with anti-competitive practices. Even as my sour opinion against them began to soften they suddenly sparked it back up by erasing all the Unreal games from every storefront for absolutely no reason.
I think a good part of it might be Tim Sweeney's personal hubris. The dude isn't shy with his hot takes on Twitter. He insisted that PC gaming was dead in the early 00s only for Valve to raise Steam into a juggernaut unopposed. After Sweeney made ZZT he started work on a new game he called "Jill of the Jungle", but it quickly became apparent that he lacked the ability to actually see that game to completion so others finished it for him. Since then every game Epic made had very little to do with Sweeney. Jazz Jackrabbit, the Unreal games, Gears of War. They were all the result of creative people who are not Tim Sweeney and they made Epic a powerhouse developer, and I think Tim is a little bitter about it. Then, under Sweeney's direction, they sold out 40% of the company to Tencent with no strings attached, drove away their creative talent, and now they exist only to churn out content for Fortnite and try and disrupt the industry for their own personal gain.
Epic
EA
People like Fun Pimps are absolutely fine because they keep people in the loop and they do everything they claim. Most people who get bent out of shape with them either are disgenious or don't understand how a small studio works.
So, Ubisoft, EA and Blizzard/Acti are top of my not buy list.
Ubisoft and EA make it very easy as the games they tend to turn out are pap middle of the road stuff that's incredibly samey. With Blizzard, there's a few games I'd like, such as Diablo 4 but no way am I supporting that company. I cannot tolerate bad business practice whether to staff or customers.
SO I don't.
And it's dead easy even for someone like me that buys about 300 games a year as there's always plenty around.
And how many more millions do they need to stop calling themselves a "small studio"? If you make that much money it is your choice to get mediocre and slow results.
