Steam however can be completely random although there's about as much chance of them cancelling the summer sale as the USA has of stopping Thanksgiving. Surprisingly there were some really good publishers' weekends in the lead up to the last sales - Lara Croft for example.
It's a "wait and see" thing I'm afraid.
