A hat in time is definitely a banger of a platformer and i cannot recommend it enough, it isn't made in the 2000's tho i find it to have a similar "vibe"

Anything Sega has ported to Steam from that period

Well they're not arcade platformers, as what you were describing were never arcade games, but I suspect you really mean 3D platformer/action games.

A Hat in Time is a great one I'll also second. Sadly the 3D platformer just died as a franchise a couple of generations ago and I constantly moan about it.

You could try the Spyro Remastered Trilogy too. Might want to wait a few weeks for the Winter Sale though.

Oh yes, that's exactly what I meant. I didn't know how it was right.
Thanks for recommending Spyro, really very much in the style of those three games.
I am also sorry that there are so few similar games now. I have always appreciated this genre for its ingenuity. Since you are a fan of 3D platformers, maybe there are other recommendations? I'll be happy) Interesting old games too.

Most of the great ones have already been mentioned, but I feel those are a few more who deserve being included:

No problem. Glad to meet someone else that loves them too, as I suspect there's more of us if we stopped to think about it.

As for other recommendations, I can't say offhand for PC, as again they seem to have all but killed off these games at the start of the PS3 era.

But I'll give it some thought - there's likely at least quite a few older games that have been ported.
