Looking for a Game with Super Powers
I am looking for a singleplayer, preferably 3D, game with real time action combat that has emphasis on or great execution of the super-powered gameplay. It's better if it is available on PC.

I would appreciate it if you could recommend me some games that fit the above criteria and are not already in the lists below. You can use Ctrl+F to quickly find out if your suggestion was already suggested.

Games that fit the criteria and I have already played and/or were already suggested:
  • Gemini: Heroes Reborn
  • Saints Row IV
  • Prototype series
  • Infamous series
  • Spiderman series
  • DCUO
  • Darkness series
  • Bioshock series
  • Dishonored
  • Psi-Ops
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed series
  • Quantum Break
  • Life is Strange
  • Blades of Time

Games that don't fit the criteria as closely:
  • Fear series (you don't get to use superpowers beyond bullettime)
  • Batman Arkham series (you don't get to use superpowers as batman)
  • Darksiders series (more magic than superpowers)
  • Deus Ex series (more technology than superpowers)
  • Shadow of Mordor (more magic than superpowers)
  • The Witcher series (more magic than superpowers)
  • Crysis (more technology than superpowers)
  • Prey (more technology than superpowers)
  • Crackdown (more technology than superpowers)
  • Metal Gear Rising (more technology than superpowers)
  • Marlow Briggs (focus on melee fighting rather than powers)
  • DmC (focus on melee fighting rather than powers)
  • God of War series (focus on melee fighting rather than powers)
  • Prince of Persia series (focus on melee fighting rather than powers)
  • Marvel: Ultimate Alliance series (too much button-mashing)
  • Deadpool (mostly swords and guns, no superpowers)
Games that were suggested but I don't know much about yet:
  • Singularity (haven't played)
  • Alice Madness Returns (haven't played)

STAR WARS™: The Force Unleashed 1 or 2?
Only played the first one, had some fun using force powers on storm troopers.
Not a great game but it's OK. worth a 50% sale. Maybe the second one is better?

Played those before. I guess they do count as super-power games. Added to the list.

Singularity-not really super powers but you go back in time and use super advanced weapons that seem super power like. Great game if you have never played it.

Fear 1 and 2, older games but still great. Similar to The Darkness.

Life is strange. I'm not usually a fan of these types of games but this one is done really well. You are able to control time in this game. Your decision influence the game too. Not action oriented like your other games but may be a healthy change of pace for you.

How about any of the Crysis games? They seem like your style and Crysis 1 is what got me into PC gaming permanently.

Prey, another oldie but great. Aliens abduct your family in a bar and you use alien super power like tech to rescue them.

Deadpool game is decent, similar to Spider-Man.

Batman arkham asylum-one of the best games ever made imo. All the arkham games are good.

Darksiders

Deus ex-super human not really super powers but great nonetheless.

Shadow of mordor

The witcher series

Not on pc, until the third one comes out next year, but Crackdown series has super powers.

Good list. I played some of them and will look into the rest. Thanks.

Saints Row IV.
Like, why has that not been suggested yet? It's one of the best superhero games ever made.

Try reading the first post by OP then you will see why.

Non-sorted lists are bad! *selffacepalm*

This is one of my favorites: http://store.steampowered.com/app/235460/

This might have a sciency explanation of the superpowers but you are a damn robot ninja cutting people and huge mechs in half wherever you want. It has a very dumb spectacular story. You can make it hard or easy if you want.
It's worth more then what it's currently priced at. Love this game.

I have heard that this might not be the best game but its a decent god of war clone with a modern setting and its very cheap, especially on sale:

Played the Devil May Cry Games? Might not be the superpowers you want but they are good, especially that new one or maybe the remake of 4.

Prince of Persia (Sands of Time trilogy/quadrilogy) has a lot of superpowers.

Just a quick question OP.

Have you played Batman Arkham Asylum?

You are technically correct that you do not use super powers but this game is arguable better than any game on your already played list. IMO, it is the standard to which all super hero games should strive to meet.

Played all of them, however, they don't fit closely with my criteria. They tend to focus more on the melee combat rather than super-powers.

Haven't played those, I'll check them out. Thanks.

I have played all of the Batman Arkham games. I do agree that they are great, but the focus of this discussion is games that have good super-power-based gameplay, not superhero gameplay. If I was to chose which super-power game/series is the best from the lists, I would say Infamous series. They have great gameplay, upgrades, story, and branching story-line. Unfortunately it's a PlayStation exclusive.

Can recommend Singularity especially if you like time manipulation/paradoxa.
Current Lowest Price: 8,64€ at GamesPlanet UK (Activates on Steam)

This one was already suggested. I'm definitely interested in trying it.
