Odds are the thing you reported on the subreddit where in line with whatever its flavor of the month echo chamber was.
but here's the kicker. NOT reporting posts is aguaranteed way to get no action isn't it?
Basic logic.
OP, Steam moderators need to step up and start dealing with the forums. As Snakefist and PootisMayo have described, some of the recently posted comments have been truly shocking. The fact that threads have been deleted, but the account has no bans is beyond belief...as Crunchy says..keep reporting and blocking....it's all we can do.
Reporting here works in a twisted way, mate. For example: I reported someone with "♥♥♥♥ Russia", "Russia ♥♥♥♥" or any possible nickname going along the same lines somewhere in March. No response, yet (you get different notifiactions if you push different buttons, yep).
Again, I got response in 2 days after reporting a single drooje in CoH3's thread regarding Russian localisation. Yes, they've tried to hijack it and a lot of droojes got a proper European Solidarity (from US-based company's crew, right) later. Effectively, a quarter of a thread was gone and the thread itself locked. I could assume the amount of reports pierced horizont on this one, but let's be honest: Russians no longer care when someone blames them on the Internet, and majority of people doesn't care when someone blames Russians.
So, it was probably a nimble Support member putting out the fire before it even started. System did the rest and send notifications on accounts that got blocked regardless.
Personally, I don't believe it's anyway effective or fair.
Many people make that mistake and think that means no action is taken. You cannot know what they've done or if they're looking furhter or if it's simply in the queue.
The thing is there are many things they can do from a smack on the wrist, to chaning or blocking stuff or even not doing anything because they don't agree with you.
Again, just because you don't see clear action does not mean action has not been taken. Unless you see a clear ban notice on their account, there's no way ou can tell what action has been taken.
