- "I want to let you know that I have been able to locate your purse, and I have detected that we will not be able to return it to you since policy dictates we are not allowed to. This is because at The Police Department, we care about security and privacy of the citizens."
- "What? No. I was robbed! He stole it!"
- "We hear you, and understand the importance that your purse represents for you, I would like to tell you that The Police Department takes the protection and security of all citizen's belongings very seriously, due to this, the purse is not eligible to be returned."
Miles ahead of steam
Namely, if you can't get through via their methods, use your own.
They have a Chief Executive. They have a head office address. You have hands (hopefully).
Write an old fashioned letter detailing what happened to your account. Then detail how you went about contacting their support and the lack of help you got.
Ask for them to respond within 30 days. Address the envelope "FAO The Chief Executive" and mark it Private and Confidential in the top left of the evelope. This usually means it goes to the CEOs secretary.
The beauty of this is that ♥♥♥♥ rolls downhill. She'll open it, and it gets given to the next downstream. They then give it to their next downstream and so on. Each jknow where it came from - up top. So they are Bound to do something about it.
So do that , sit back and wait.
This is my experience and I want to share it so that Epic Games in Support for accounts and shopping robots serveeeeeeeeeeeee
1) you contacted support
2) you didd not provide proof of account ownership
3) demanded the contact email be changed
4) you were somehow shocked pikachu face that support will not change the email of an account that you cannot prove you own
Did you even think about how that sounds for more than 5 seconds and wonder why Epic support does not 'suck' because they will not give some random person on the internet access to an account they cannot prove they own
This is not 'proof of ownership'
How do you know that writing an actual letter doesn't work if you haven't tried as I said?
I used to run my own charity offering legal advice in consumer and disability law. This was ALWAYS a recommended first step a user should take. Not just because it gets it on record, so that when you actually might wish to take the matter further, you can show you did all yuou could, but the fact is it WORKS.
It has a very high rate of success because quite simply, you're writing to the very top.
you must live near me!
