Why are posts reported for porn not removed?
The Resident Evil Artwork sections are full of softcore porn. Talking full frontal nudity. I report most of these posts and they are still up. Talked to steam support, was told pornography is fine, when it cleary states in the content guidelines that nsfw content is prohibited.

itt people actually believe that community jannies actually moderate, amazing. The only people who do community moderating responsibly are ones who are paid to do so. The only people who do free community moderating are those with power trip issues. As Steam has a very small official moderation team they make extensive use of volunteer community moderators, hence why legitimate problems are commonly left unaddressed while minor fine print is enforced with an iron fist.

The more pressing question is why this is an issue. Were you cruising the community page at work and got in trouble? Or are you one of those increasingly common parents that use screens as surrogate parents? Either way that's a you problem. If you really are just that upset at seeing some TnA maybe you should grow up? Girls don't have cooties I promise.

The steam official volunteer mods are no longer a thing since about a year and half ago.

Pornographic content was supposed to be limited to adult only hubs, that require opting in specifically.

The content allowed in the artwork and screenshot sections were supposed to match the content of the game itself too. In other words, if the game featured Pornographic content, the the artwork and screenshot section should also be allowed to do so. If the game didn't, then the community section was not supposed to either.

Steam support just got lazy.
For screenshots that may be as usually you would need to use third party mods to add that kind of content in game when it normally doesn't have any however the artwork section is usually less restricted and it's on the game mods to deal with it if they do not allow it.

In this case it seems they are fine allowing it as long as the content is marked as adult only as we have seen with the content filters and this has been a case for a long time and not a steam issue since they have said it's allowed in game hubs only if the game moderators choose it.

Many games have such nudity in their artwork section and have lower age ratings then the games in question.
Yes, they got lazy and unofficially allow it now so that they don't have to police it. Nothing more, nothing less.

The fact that they specifically made it so you have to ENABLE adult only content in the community section means that they are making sure kids and others cannot run into it.

That's not how it works.

It's always been under policed purely because like any other place like Youtube, it's impossible to keep on top of properly. It relies on users to report.

But more than this, game realted hubs are ENTIRELY run by the publishers and their reps. Nothing to do with Valve.

So contact THEM. Report accordingly and if they do nothing, then you can ask support's help.

like wise, why are steam user groups that are used for Commercial Advertising - Announcements - Events to third party websites for; gambling, drops, codes, giveaways with entry requirements, not removed / banned from Steam?

Commercial advertising rules don't seem to exist for certain groups and people using multiple groups for advertising for third party websites.

And when you go ask support, with a ticket to show them the group links show them the connections, and show them the advertising, they request you use the report functions, that has already been used, or that they will pass the feedback along, where as nothing happens. v Loot
