it is nothing like dungeon siege 1 and 2 that were excelent games..
dungeon siege 3 only has 4 characters.. preset in stats.. you play as one of them.. the other 3 will follow.. and every item that drops is labled for 1 of them
the entire charm of you be free to create your own character.. be free to level how and what you wanted... and form a team of npc´s or other players.. as YOU saw fit.. is gone..
as well as the charm of swapping gear between your team members, the collecting sets etc it´s gone..
dugeon siege 3 is even MORE linear than 1 and 2 were.. and it has no other maps like the multiplayer map dungeon siege 1 had..
and I repeat myself but dungeon siege 3 is horribly brown in color... like really brown everywhere you go.. gone are the vibrant colors of true dungeon siege 1 and 2..
gone also are the many hidden area´s.. the little puzzles for you to solve.. like I said much more linear..
I'm sure you've reviewed it for yourself in any case OP. I prefer it to 2 actually. Is it linear? Sure, but if it's cheap it's worth picking up.
IOf you're having issues, I seem to recall this might be one of those games that has weird regional resitrcitions so make sure it's available in your country (that doesn't explain the DLC though).
Pretty much lacks a price in almost all regions.
No price, no ability to buy the game.
That change was done about three years ago. Ask the publisher why.
Only has a price in US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Japanese Yes, and Mexican Peso.
Cheers.

Of course, If I wanted to buy Dungeon Siege III, it would cost me about €66 -- not sure that would be worth it...
The data is also confusing. Various sources suggest that I own Dungeon Siege III, like its shop page telling me "in your library", but the Anthology lists it as not owned...
... and, funny enough, the Dungeon Siege Collection lists the first and second game, and the DLC for the third game. It doesn't even list the game itself... which is super-weird, considering you can't buy a DLC on Steam unless you own the base game...
So yeah, somebody has messed up the store data of the game, and never bothered to fix it...
