Racing Games like Racing Lagoon/R4 Ridge Racer?

I just got into racing games, what I assume are arcade racers(?), like Racing Lagoon, Ridge Racer, and replaying my childhood fav in F Zero GX through emulation haha. I've played mario kart over the years, and loved Need for Speed Underground back then.

To be honest, I'm judging a lot of these modern racing games on face value, worried I won't like them, and just disregarding them. I love the style in older games, and I'd like to play a racing game that is more than just straight racing. Are any of the games on sale right now up that alley?

Gaming crack. Riding in a "PC" General Lee (sans the confederate flag) and trying to pull off insane stunts or racing a motorcycle or racing with KITT from Knight Rider, is worth every penny.

I purchased it on sale for the switch before getting one.

Ah Ridge Racer! I used to play that on my PSP, before it went missing. Burnout is definitely a great franchise to look at.

Another game I used to love was, Pimp My Ride, at least the PS2 version. Not sure how the franchise is nowadays, never hear anyone mention it.

Though, if you're into SciFi and you play on console (or cough cough emulate) WipeOut is probably the best racing game franchise in existence. If you only play on PC however and want to play your games on Steam, then there are a couple alternative "ripoffs" like Redout and BallisticNG.

Ah, my friend has Wipeout 1 and 2 at his place so I might just play it on actual hardware :o

How about Forza Horizon 4 and/or 5, I like those games, they have a easy low learning curve and are fun arcadeyish games ♡♡
