What are the stream communities thoughts on joke reviews & guides for games?

Some think there should be more of a crackdown against them. Others don't seem to care judging by the amount of awards they generate.

joke guides are fine, reviews aren't. i would prefer if the game was actually reviewed, not just someone posting a lame meme or some ascii art

Sometimes I report joke reviews that qualify as spam.

I'm in the don't care camp. If they can bring other people some amusement then surely it's not a bad thing. Sadly, there are insecure people out there who report them. Maybe it gives them a power rush?

All that matters is the overall rating. Sometimes it's best to filter by negative review and look for complaints covering performance, crashes and other technical issues. Things that won't get into the game's description.

I'll usually filter by negative reviews to see what people don't like as they're usually more useful than positive, and joke/troll reviews are easy to spot overall at a glance.

Guides are a different story. I'd prefer they were obvious in their titles that they're jokes, but if they seem legit and then after clicking they're just useless jokes, that would fall under trolling, in my opinion

I think they are just an easy way for people to get reward points. But I'm too lazy to report it and it doesn't really make a difference. I use youtube gameplay footage and reviews to check any games I'm interested in buying anyway.

Joke guides are even worse because it floods out guides that are actually helpful.

I personally not like them when it makes it more of a pain to find the good guide, even more, when the jokes are the same cookie cutter jokes that have no real originality and many times not even related to the game what so ever
I normally report them, if the joke is at least relevant and/or good I may skip it

I think some joke reviews are funny. I don't mind them since I go to other places for reviews. I do get a little annoyed at joke guides because I'm just trying to progress in the game. But I can simply google search for a guide so it isn't a big deal.
