How do you launch your game?
As per title - what method do you use to launch a game in your library.

  • Steam Library
  • Big Picture Mode
  • Taskbar menu (right-click steam icon)
  • Desktop Shortcut
  • Third-party launcher (GOG Galaxy, etc)
  • Voice Control (Cortana, etc)
  • Mash keyboard and hope for the best
  • Other method?

Just curious to see how people launch their games.

- Steam Library for most games.
- Big Picture Mode for anything over the Steam Link
- Most Bethesda games through the Nexus Community Mod Manager.

Someone asked that several months ago. Why don't you search for that thread?

Library all time. Most Bethesda games and other games I launch via Nexus MO2.

Depends entirely on the game.

Normally, by default I simply launch from library.
If it's an older game that needs some finagling to get going (like Morrowing or System Shock 2 for example) then I'll have adesktop shortcut to do this.
On occasion I'll also use Paynite instead of Steam if I'm wanting to launch any game from across all platforms on PC.

Either right click the icon In the taskbar and select from the list if it's something I've recently played or search in library and hit play

through steam library and/or left click on steam icon (for recently played games), plus bypassing any third party launchers possible with steam launch option.

Through steam library

Since I only ever play one game at a time, 99% of my game launches are through the little notification icon in the task bar -- Steam is set to auto-start, and the icon is set to always show.

When the game isn't there, usually because I got a bunch of games with cards and the game I'm actually playing is not among the 5 most recent ones anymore, I just open the library window and launch it from there again.
