Buy games in China

Hello, I'm Europe user living in China.

I see the prices of the games here are much more cheaper. The shop gives me the chance to change the region and buy games with the local currency but I don't know if my account will be restricted to the chinese catalog number of games. I'm affraid to do this step.

Did someone have this situation before? Thanks

The store surely will be restricted. I'd be careful with the local laws, since I assume that using your library could be punished as posession or import of illegal media (if there is any in your account).

Btw, to change the store region you also have to have a payment method tied to that country.

The usual answer: if you're there temporarily, don't change store location at all.

Yup, if you change to China you ARE going to get all the restictions that go with it. You would need to use the Chinese version of the Steam store.

BUt as you don't live there and are there temporarily, do as Reboot says.
