I need an MMO to bring me back to the 90s man

I'm dying for nostalgia, SWGEMu isn't ready. I'm just looking for a gateway back to the 90s/early 2000s, with an active population. I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for but throw me suggestions.

FFXI is a much more unique MMO experience instead of just another WoW clone, it also has almost endless content at this point.

Not really an MMORPG but plays like one. You can group with others or play with AI heroes that you control. A lot of people still play.

I would caution AGAINST this frankly.

While it is a great game in it's own right, it is most defeintely NOT a regular 90s style MMO.

There is no good levelling system. It stops at 20 and is really weird if you get your thrill out of that sort of basis.
