Minecraft with MultiMC
Fix the Java exploit first.
It was fixed the same day it became known.
Go to GOG and buy ones from there that don't need Steam.
Also, Steam can play in an off-line mode. As long as the game does not require internet access it will work offline. Tell Steam to run in the offline mode. When Steam sees no internet, it will ask if you want to run offline anyway. Make sure the games are fully installed and have been played. Disable cloud saves.
Try disabling the network now. Remove the cable if you don't know the Windows way. Then try your games offline.
I have used Steam offline for a couple of months. I do not know if there is a maximum time it will allow offline mode.

I think Far Cry can have a good taste of offline storys & Mafia 1, 2 & 3! It was very nice, if you like games like GTA or something. Idk if you like soccer you can play FIFA or PES this games got some offline mode to. :steamhappy:

B: have started the game at least ONCE after installation

I've read "at least once after they had an update".
Not sure if this is true though, but could be important to mention.
Steam's Offline Mode can be iffy.
Any big RPG is an obvious choice. Especially the older games.

Star Wars KOTOR.
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 (Remasters as there's the extra content in there)

Basically go to the store and ssimpy search under RPG and see what pops up, filtered by most popular.

There's also older games that are long too like The Longest Journey but I'm not sure if you're into point and click adventure.
Skyrim or Oblivion
Kenshi or Rimworld are good choices
What bout less flashy titles?

Steam got Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop for ex, which is free and can eat some hours easily.
Unturned is another ftp option.
No More Room In Hell can be hosted local, specially if u dl serv sdk beforehand for better options and custom, all free.

Nah, it's like l4d for ex, u can play solo.
Burger Time. Burger Time 2. Flipline's entire series of games, all ending in -eria. Hot Dog Bush. Tap to Cook.

Those are all food/time management games, but not at all difficult. They are more 'get in your groove' type of games. And none require tons of real cash injections either, to progress in.

Of course, any disc based games, for the most part. Sims games. I don't see which types of games or which platform you will use, but, those are some more suggestions.
