Some people prefer to have it all in one place and take offense at having them on different software platforms.
Silly people, i know, but very vocal when annoyed.
Im silly to prefer to have everything in one place? so i dont have to start a million launchers to play the game i like?

No its just silly that you take offense to it.

Would you rather trust Steam with all your property and never actually own it or would you rather have a disc in your hand that cant be taken from you?
Its up to you if you rather do it the fast way or the reliable way.

You do realize that disc is useless once you enter the code, and most retail games don't even include a disc anymore. Just a code in the box....

Its just as reliable buying a PC game on Steam as it is in the store...

Retail version it's good you can collection make decor on your room or resell again after you finished the games.
Don't care if not Steam version, all version is same.

Digital version you pay with full price but like rent the video games. You can't resell or waiting big sale in winter 2021. If you want cheaper in Epic Store have $10 free coupon not included cut discount in Epic without free coupon. Really cheaper

Steam has huge sales but what people dont realize is alot of these games on sale, the stores consider to be worth $2 and wont even sell them. And I noticed big name games on Steam for $60 when in stores for $20.
yeaaah true i've noticed that too. back in the day when i was idk maybe 13 or 14 i bought cod ghosts( yeah yeah big mistake i know) but in the store it was for like 10 dollars while in steam it was for 60.

To be fair, you missed one point.

It's actually up to you what your GOALS are. If you don't care about longevity, or such, then digital sphere like this is a great way to go.

Others, like myself, FAR prefer physical, but for myself I happily use Steam but I only buy games on sales cheaply, as that then crosses what I call an "acceptable gamble". Simply put, the price I pay means that it's OK if they disappear in future. In any case, Iprobably have physical versions on other platforms for many anyway.

It all depends on a person's PERSONAL goals, and there are many.

Well, from all reports it is improving considerably, at least for PC.
