Unless you're looking to get some plastic and paper with your purchase, I'd go digital. Most retail games come with only a code you need to redeem anyway.

Physical for collectors, digital for practical people.

Keep in mind that unless you buy it on Steam, it will only activate and play through GOG.

what is the problem with that?

Some people prefer to have it all in one place and take offense at having them on different software platforms.
Silly people, i know, but very vocal when annoyed.

i see. i don't really have a problem with that. so i guess having it on gog isn't a problem. i don't log into gog very often but i don't think it's a problem.

Retail version it's good you can collection make decor on your room or resell again after you finished the games.
Don't care if not Steam version, all version is same.

Digital version you pay with full price but like rent the video games. You can't resell or waiting big sale in winter 2021. If you want cheaper in Epic Store have $10 free coupon not included cut discount in Epic without free coupon. Really cheaper

Yeah it really is a moot point if you're buying it for PC. The only real difference is the install process might be different (as you'll likely go through GOG). You still can't resell it or do anything different with it.

However, if you want to buy it on console, different kettle of fish. Personally I wouldn't buy it for last gen consoles, but if you got it for PS5 or Xbox Series thingummy, get it physical if that's your thing.

I do this all the time. Games I REALLY like I will get a physical copy of wherever I can on console, even if I already have a version elsewhere.

I also have more than one "backup" of most consoles too.

Fair enough. Well, those options are there so make of it what you will. The point is that if you're held with PC, it's utterly pointless to buy a physical copy now because it's exactly the same as digital - you can't resell it.

Well, to be fair there's nothing wrong with laziness or tidiness, but there are some who take it to extremes - we've seen them on here.

But you don't need to start a whole load of launchers. Only the one you need. I doubt most people even at worst have about half a dozen, and that amount of icons barely takes any real easte or extra effort.
Would you rather trust Steam with all your property and never actually own it or would you rather have a disc in your hand that cant be taken from you?
Its up to you if you rather do it the fast way or the reliable way.

Steam has huge sales but what people dont realize is alot of these games on sale, the stores consider to be worth $2 and wont even sell them. And I noticed big name games on Steam for $60 when in stores for $20.
