What is the point of Steam Achievements?

The whole point of Achievements on Steam is pointless, profile level-up suppose to happen with Achievement unlock points, like Xbox, PlayStation, Google Play, etc. but on steam the Achievements are kind of idle and useless, Achievements of Steam doesn't contribute to profile level up
And card drops you can just purchase with real money which is total pay to level up

And this was just my opinion, feel free to keep yours! And if I'm wrong, please tell me why?!

It's largely steam's fault because they failed to secure their achievement system, the achievements of steam's can be locally unlocked, it's not server connected like Xbox

Steam has the option for both. Who decides which to use for which achievements? The game developer.

For me on Xbox it's bragging rights and Microsoft rewards.

Microsoft is more serious about their achievement systems..
In fact, decades ago people were cheating on their gamers core with gamesaves, which is a completed game with achievements unlocked.

Those accounts were reset and consoles were bricked from accessing anything online.
I got F1 2013 NTSC when I hit 100k achieves and 6 months Live and other goodies 😎

On Steam, achieves are zero, zilch and no nothing.
What matters on Steam is Steam level for bragging rights and the higher the level, its super expensive moneywise

Yes, I've heard about the 'Xbox Pegasus Tool' but Xbox Live enforcement system immediately Bans them whoever uses the tool to cheat Xbox Achievements.

Steam Achievements doesn't contribute to anything related to reputation/level-up, like others.
The Achievements of Steam just sits on the profile like random ugly icons.
