A good game you can play forever?
What is your favourite game you can play virtually forevevr?

A few of my examples would be;

Stardew Valley
Kenshi
Ark
Conan
No Man's Sky

Rimworld is a very open game with different settings, biomes, mods etc. And if you buy the newest expansion it has a ton of ideologies that can affect how your colonists react and interact with other groups.

Garrys Mod

Playable pretty much indefinitely because it already comes out of the box with a huge portion of gamemodes. Aside from that there is a lot of community made content ranging from textures over maps way through to custom gamemodes. Of course you can create your own content as well.

The amount of servers is immense and the playercount stays pretty stable so you will never be alone even if you don't have friends to play with.
I had countless of hours on Diablo I , when I reached then end I would restart with the same character. I've also spent probably more time than I should on AoE II

WIth its huge modding community you'll always find new map packs, mods and even game modes.

As much as I'd love to have a game like this eventually every game becomes stale. The most I ever played so far has been CSGO about 1300 hours. Everything else is at most 200-300. I do come back to some games for a few hours but it's never a super extended session.
Rimworld can be played endlessly

I envy people who have more than few games that they can play forever, the only game I can play forever is League of Legends, which is good but I'd like there to be more games that I would "fall in love" with.

Until you get frozen with the thought that you have so much to play, that you have nothing to play.

Those big games require a certain amount of attention and commitment, and without both of those things they're not worth even starting. I love them, but because of this my backlog will take more time than I have left in my life, even if I manage to hit 100 years old.

Beat Hazard 2 if you have a large music library. Even after you finish getting everything unlocked, you can compete for top scores on songs, see how long you can last in survival or boss rush modes. You can unlock over 100 ships and clearing some quests can be brutal, no weapons, no extra lives, etc, can change how you play.

After spending over 130 hours playing it on Steam, I picked it up on sale at GOG and started with a clean slate. Doing missions with limited power ups, having to reacquire items, can be very challenging.

10 hours in on GOG and it's like playing it for the first time. I did the same thing with Stardew Valley and quickly spent over 30 hours from scratch.
