do not get hung up - - play other games, maybe not play the boring game for a week. The most fun I've had with any steam game was probably Counter Strike:Source. I tried to dabble in CS:GO but it just isn't the same for me as the time I had in Source.

You're right the original is better.
Much easier to see what you're doing, and focus on the action.
Straight forward. CS:GO feels laggy and bloated.


Personally I'll choose Team Fortress 2.
