Game suggestions for people that suck at games
I enjoy gaming...but I suck. Epically. There's an extremely small number of games I can actual play without cheats (My Time at Portia, Two Point Hospital, Jurassic Park Evolution, Planet Zoo career mode), but usually I only get games with cheat codes.

Sadly, with so few games having build in cheats (and I know NOTHING about trainers, but seems like there's a risk of getting a virus that way), it makes it hard to find games.

Games I really enjoy that I have to use cheats for: Starcraft 2, Starcraft, Might and Magic 5, Ark). I'd love to play a game like Biomutant - it looks really awesome - but I'd get slaughtered and that's just not fun.

I prefer games to be a chill experience in terms of my ability to play - I am not looking for some frustrating challenge of dying constantly - but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a game with faster elements... Getting a game I can't beat isn't worth buying - I want to enjoy the story. Or I want a game like Ark I can just enjoy running around in, building in, having cool mounts, etc.

So...any suggestions for game titles to try out?

Thanks!

Here's a thought for you. Let me explain.

I'm disabled. Spina bifida and a few other knock on issues. Many days I'm OK, others I ain't and my left hand goes wonky especially. For that reason I always tend to keep games on easy wherever I can because having a bad day and going to play a game that is stuck on a harder mode isn't fun.

And the thing is, 20% of all gamers have some sort of disability that affects their gameplay. So you may want to have a nose at what games are recommended by sites like AbleGamers or caniplaythat.com - they are both good resources that break down difficulties.

Also, gamefaqs has some sort of user-voted difficulty rating for games too, although because they're user-driven they can be rather wayward so take a bit with a pinch of salt.

As for trainers, you're wise to avoid them. But there are better resources you can look into like cheat engine or WeMod.

And it has to be said though obvious - as long as it's offline, single player stuff, it's all good.

As for Ark SE, you'd likely be fine with that as you can REALLY tweak difficulty down to stupid levels. Conan Exiles is much the same too.

That is EXTREMELY helpful, thank you for that!

I'm not sure I trust these programs either. *sigh* Really makes me just wish good old cheat codes. Or, like I said, games most people should be able to play like Portia (hurry up and come out Sandrock!)

Yeah, I've certainly seen all the control options, I just didn't want to waste time messing with them when there's just cheats. :D

I'll certainly check out the sites you listed though - that sounds extremely helpful! Thank you very much!
No problem bud.

I can honestly say WeMod is so far trustworthy. I've used it for several months. But I get your reticence - there's nothing wrong with that at all.

Well thanks for that info too. That's good to know. Might download and give it a go with games I have just to test it out.

Again, I really appreciate the suggestions!

No problem - always a pleasure!

What games?
ANY 1st person I've ever tried for years. I don't try anymore.
The difference between 3rd and 1st person is that the body is visible.
The view motion of the image is the same.

Dont you see just an image that moves?

For example, move the image behind the person. Thats what you see when playing first person, just a bit further ahead.

As if you would stick a paper figure on the screen, it would be third person view. So to say.

I tell you this because you do not try anymore. Maybe you could.
And an usefull note,
make mouse settings and move your hand as far as your brain and reflex says, that i want for 180 degree turn.
Make the setting until it actually makes 180 degree turns. Left and right.

That way screen and expectation of brain and reflex are in sync.

I don't know what to tell you, but it's different. I'm not a doctor, so I can't say. Maybe getting to "fix" on the figure helps vs the entire view? I haven't the slightest idea.

I can play Ark in 3rd person. If I move that game to 1st person and run around, I will feel like I'm going to vomit within 5-10 minutes. I get the queasy feeling even doing it for a few seconds (I tend to it when using the train cheat, or you HAVE to in map view).

Believe me, I wish I could play 1st person. I'm STILL pissed I could never play the old "Star Trek: Voyager" game. :(
Never played ark, so i dont know if it has extra movement.

About my other note above, it is not because you turn too much or too less?
Can you describe what is the thing that does create this problem? Can you feel or name it while it builds up?

I just know 1st person makes me sick. I have never played any 1st person game that did not nearly immediately make me feel queasy. If I try to push through it, I will have to put cold cloth on my face and lie down or I will likely vomit or pass out.

It's like reading in a car - I just can't do it. :D
Even a game like dear esther, walking simulators?

If you try it next time again, look "through your face" (or imagine your backhead), then there is a space, then a monitor, and a moving image. A movie that you control.

If you can watch movies, it maybe is just a perception thing. Not physically.

Field of view settings could also help. 90-120 is what i set it too.

I can watch movies just fine, provided I am not front row in an Imax or something.

I have no idea what a walking sim even is. If that's those games that are basically movies, not really my thing - might as well just watch a movie - so I don't know.

Never noticed I could change field and vision, so never tried. I will have to experiment with that. Might as well try that on Ark since I have it. :)
It particularly makes a difference when you're actually moving around. What screen resolution (and monitor type) are you using?
ASUS VP279HE. 1920x1080 resolution.
Does playing at a LOWER resolution (listed on your monitor's display options) maybe help? It's not ideal, but that's a large screen and I know watching other people play on such large ones disorients me a bit.
