Games for a potato laptop?
does anybody know any games that my 16 GB ram standard graphics PC can run?
looking for a game that's more of an RPG style.

Impossible to say as just the amount of RAM isn't going to help us help you.

What CPU? What graphics chipset? And so on. These are vitally important. None of the games thus far suggested may even run on your system.

So tell us these specs and we can advise better.

But be warned if it's a laptop with no dedicated gaming graphics card (like an Intel onboard chipset) you';re going to have a bad time, as it seriously limits your abaility to play games. You're mostly relegated to REAL low spec games, and puzzlers and the like.

Simply because they're not supported graphics chipsets, it's not only that you have limited games to choose from. It also means you can get other games to run, but because they're not supported you can feasibly be playing one day and then never again because an update broke the ability to play.

So bear that in mind.

I know this one will :
https://store.steampowered.com/app/391540/Undertale/

This probably will :
https://store.steampowered.com/app/995980/Fae_Tactics/
I don't know, I haven't gotten around to playing this one despite it being one of the games I want to play most.

Not quite "RPG" but this should be a good fit for you too :
https://store.steampowered.com/app/221910/The_Stanley_Parable/
I mean... it worked on mine & my computer has half the RAM & is using integrated graphics...

This is sort of RPG (I guess) & it ran fine on my computer :
https://store.steampowered.com/app/323380/The_Magic_Circle/
I just have to clear out some RAM before playing (but I also only have 8GB of RAM)

Half life 2 or any source 1 game made by valve. Maybe spec ops the line and borderlands 1 and 2.

This...your ram doesn't tell us anything and some people will just keep recommending random stuff.

We need your actual specs -> Steam Client -> Help -> System Information. Copy and Paste that info here.

I mean... I didn't just recommend random stuff personally.

I have 8 GB of RAM & integrated graphics.
My machine is old. It's the last gen of last gen.
I'm pretty sure the only way it gets worse than that is if you have less RAM and / or a video card that is actually inferior to integrated graphics (which like... why are you even using a video card if that is the case then? )

So, unless I'm mistaken here - his machine should be somewhat more powerful than mine - therefore, anything that my machine can run without issues, his machine probably should be able to as well.

By virtue of not having a very new or powerful system, one should be able to make a reasonable assessment based on their own system, without needing full knowledge of specs.

I did state my my RAM & the part about integrated graphics in my own post for my reasoning - I know some other people didn't bother to state their reasoning so maybe they're speaking from experience or maybe they have some other reasoning... kind of hard to tell when they don't specify.

The OP can very well check the minimal system requirements on the pages of suggested games to understand if he can run them.

Not if they think "16gb ram standard graphics" are their specs.
