Steam affiliate program
Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not Steam has any sort of affiliate program at the moment? Getting commission for bringing traffic from my blog, once the referred user bought anything or even signed up. Thank you!

Nope, theres no such thing. The only road to Steam money is making a game.

Nope, steam really has no need of an affiliate program. It's always possible individual games might have something, but thats on a game per game basis and you'd have to check with Devs.

Nope.

You're going to have to try either GOG or Humble Bundle for affiliate programs.

People either overestimate their blog reach or underestimate Steams reach if they think an affiliate program is of interest to Steam.

That would be about as pointless as Coca Cola or McDonald's having an affiliate program.

Why would Valve affiliate with your blog?

:teddy_talk: If that were to happen, again IF.
I think, it would be traffic for Steam Store purchases and non-refundable content

That would be an interesting notion, I'd be allowed to give online coupons with my local businesses.
Say for example, I have a local favorite coffee shop I visit daily and my usual coffee drink. I would be given a special coupon code for that drink and allowed to post it on my Twitch or YouTube vlog.

:teddy_talk: Oh.
You bring up a good point, the lack of req with a blogs theme, content and user (e.g. underaged below 13)
Valve legal would freak having to underwrite liability wildcards 👻😸

It’d all be worth the opportunity to hand out “Affiliate” badges, perhaps?

:teddy_talk: "Affliate" badges would be something that scammers, phishers and thugz would be exploiting to get new victims.

A tool for scammers/phishers to let their victims believe they are "Valve Employees",
just like the developer badge were abused when that was a thing.

Nope, it's a bad idea, Valve does not need random nobody's to advertise their platform.

Sounds interesting, but something I believe won't come to fruition

TikTok is not a blog.
