...okay, that probably wasn't the kind of game you were thinking of, but it is a good PVP multiplayer game. Meanwhile, though I don't really play the sorts of games you mentioned, so I can't really help you in that regard, sorry.
Well, I have played TF2, but the last time I did was a few years ago. I think it's a decent game though.
PvP games are islands in an ocean at this point. I seriously can't name a single PvP-focused game that's come out recently (and I'm not talking about games that have a PvP mode attached as an afterthought, but those with PvP at the center of their experience). Your primary choices will all come from a selection that's at least a few years old (e.g. the PUBG era). The three PvP games I play the most at the moment are EVE Online, Mechwarrior Online, and Deadside. In those games, cheating is either virtually impossible, confers no significant benefit, or is well-controlled. However, their populations are small (comparative to their intended levels) and are continuously decreasing.
Some other decent options I've either played or considered playing are Squad, Hunt: Showdown, Holdfast: Nations at War, and Conan Exiles, just to give you a few examples covering multiple genres.
Get your fill now, because this style of gaming is going to all but disappear soon, although I imagine it will see a resurgence at some point due to shifts in generational values.
RL Checkers, Chess, Monopoly, Volleyball and my fav, Brutal Dodgeball :-)

This seems to be rather popular right now.
Other than that, you can play rust or ark, something totally different in terms of PvP.
