Is there any good PvP multiplayer games anymore?
So last I played PvP focused games were mainly splitgate, and quake champions and a tiny bit of Destiny 2 crucible. But lately I been noticing a few things lately, master chief collection having crashing issues during matches that can count for a match making ban, cheaters galore in warzone, bots and ddos attacks on tf2 servers I hear, etc. I just feel like most of the games in that space are limited now due to technical problems or cheaters, though if there is any good games out there that are fun to play against others online and make friends, or go to another genre entirely? Any suggestions help!

...okay, that probably wasn't the kind of game you were thinking of, but it is a good PVP multiplayer game. Meanwhile, though I don't really play the sorts of games you mentioned, so I can't really help you in that regard, sorry.

Well, I have played TF2, but the last time I did was a few years ago. I think it's a decent game though.

Splitgate is on the rise at the moment. It's pretty fun tbh

Haha, you're fine. Good choice though since I heard a lot of good from that, I mostly play FPS games (you can thank Doom for that) and thought Id see what ones were fun

It most certainly is, I love that a game that was basically dead in the water made a huge rise again. Its just a shame that there is only so few games that are either not competitive heavy, full of cheaters, or crashing issues resulting in match making bans.

PvP gaming is in general on its last legs and effectively on life support. Over the past decade or so, gaming demographics have shifted heavily as mobile-casual gamers have entered the mainstream, and the massive amount of vocal feedback they've been providing is essentially the demand to remove all the PvP at all costs (because "griefers" and "sociopaths" and etc.) in favor of PvE farming and gacha and loot crate gambling.

PvP games are islands in an ocean at this point. I seriously can't name a single PvP-focused game that's come out recently (and I'm not talking about games that have a PvP mode attached as an afterthought, but those with PvP at the center of their experience). Your primary choices will all come from a selection that's at least a few years old (e.g. the PUBG era). The three PvP games I play the most at the moment are EVE Online, Mechwarrior Online, and Deadside. In those games, cheating is either virtually impossible, confers no significant benefit, or is well-controlled. However, their populations are small (comparative to their intended levels) and are continuously decreasing.

Some other decent options I've either played or considered playing are Squad, Hunt: Showdown, Holdfast: Nations at War, and Conan Exiles, just to give you a few examples covering multiple genres.

Get your fill now, because this style of gaming is going to all but disappear soon, although I imagine it will see a resurgence at some point due to shifts in generational values.

Im starting to slowly notice that yeah...things like Master Chief Collection is having crash issues last I saw, cheaters are more frequent in most games, and some games become literally unplayable. Those are some solid choices, but at any rate I may as well look into single player and or good PvE oriented game that don't rely on gambling. I can handle grind for certain games, since some have great combat and an interesting story (if any). But yeah, solid choices though all around.

This seems to be rather popular right now.

Unless you're playing a fighting game, what makes or breaks PvP will always be your teammates. I know a lot of people just say it's just a game and then go on to suck on massive ♥♥♥♥♥ for the rest of the match without realizing you're not on your own time anymore, you're on everyone elses. I hate losing matches because someone decides they want to ♥♥♥♥ off mid game. Go play roblux or some other PvE game by yourself, it's not an insult. It's why no one likes OW, you're stuck with the x-men, but these mutants are a different kind. They're like the z team.

Other than that, you can play rust or ark, something totally different in terms of PvP.
