Steam account registration.
Hi yall! Ive got a question. Ive been wondering something. In 2019 i went on vacation to the US! But while i was there i whas thinking about something, if i make a steam account in the US, and i go back to my own country (Holland) will the account i made still be a american steam account and ill be able to use it as an american account, or will it change to a dutch account? Since the account will be used in a whole different region of the world.

There are no country specific accounts like on consoles. Each account has a store region tied to it that should always reflect your country of residence (which vacations doesn't qualify for). In order to change the country you will need payment method associated with it.
E.g. if you have a US account, you can't use iDeal. But using iDeal will allow you to use the Dutch "store".
Using a different region to exploit regional pricing WILL get your account locked.

If you create an account on vacation you need a local payment method.
I dont know which address you need to insert in that case, though.

I dont see why a vacation should be no valid reason to set the store to that country with the same premisses.

But if you are at your residence, you should not use another countries store.

Thats what i read in the faq about stores.

The billing address that is required comes into play when you make your next purchase.
