Trade delay for no reason
I want to trade/sell some of my skins so i can buy some new games, at first i could not, because there was no transaction in past one year, so I added 5€ to my wallet and yesterday the trade lock was finally gone.

I went to my inventory to place the items to community market and steam told me that my trade will be delayed for 15 days, because I dont use mobile auth. I was really pissed at this point.

I read the trade delay policy from here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1047-EDFM-2932&l=english#appadded and the article says that if i've used the Steam Gueard through Email verification, there wouldn't be any market restrictions.

Just for instance: I've been using email Steam Guard since 2012. Through it all I have 15 days delay... So I even installed that stupid app and set up the mobile auth. BUT I HAVE DELAY ANYWAY... Even when my acc is protected by email Steam Guard for years!!! Sirously... WTF?!! There is nothing wrong according to this article but I still have the trade delay...

Just to make sure I used the online tool from website https://www.doctormckay.com/utilities/canitrade.php
And after answering the questions the page told me I should be able to use community market and trade my items directely

Whats wrong? How can I make it dissapeared? I want to contact the support, because there is clearly something wrong... Would anybody help me please?

Anyway, that part that I quoted explains how to sell without any holds. Which is, I guess, exactly what you want.

I still dont get it... Why do I have any restriction anyway, why would my trades be delayed... Ok I understand that Steam wants us to use their app and after 7 days when we added the mobile auth, there is no restrictions. But I cant quite understand what does this mean:

I had have my email auth enabled before, so.. I just still dont get it...
You get no NEW restrictions. Meaning all restrictions that were there before, are still there, you don't get new ones.
Before, you had a 15 days hold, after you have a 15 days hold. That restriction was there before, and it's still there after.
That, if you had Steam guard over email. If you didn't, then you get a new restriction. Which doesn't matter because that doesn't apply to you.

One way or another, you have to wait for a week if you want to get rid of those holds.

See it as a decision tree:
Did you have Steam guard over email before? If yes, read in line 1 if no, read in line 2.

Line 1: you get no new restrictions
Line 2: you get new restrictions

What you've missed, is this

You may think it's stupid but the dozens of people who saw their items getting traded away would disagree. And well... instead of blaming Steam over all this we could also turn this around: you could have done your homework a bit better and read up about trading and its requirements up front.

No I didnt miss it... So what the heck does the "If your account was already protected by Steam Guard via email, you will have no new restrictions from using trading or the Community Market." even mean??? When i was simply using the email only auth. there was delay. When I added the mobile app auth, there is still the delay, even when I was using email auth before.. So.. WHAT?!

It means that after enabling the mobile authenticator, you have a 7 days grace period before it takes effect proper. This is to combat hijackers emptying out accounts.
This delay is stated explicitly in

Yeah this is how it starts, but according to the "7 days anyway" it is the only point of that article. That "no restrictions via email" is there absolutely pointless and it doesnt mean anything. What would it mean, if this section wasnt there? I think it would mean absolutely the same.. 7 days anyway

There's no such thing as "no restriction via email" and the article never says that.
Anyway, that part that I quoted explains how to sell without any holds. Which is, I guess, exactly what you want.

Ok, thank you. Now it's clear...
