I have to logon every single time I start Steam
I have 'remember password' checked, but every time I start Steam, I have to enter my password AND go through Steam Guard. It used to be that I'd have to do this every dozen or so times I turn on my computer, now I literally have to go through this every time I sign onto Steam. It's getting really aggravating, and is actually making me consider turning off Steam Guard so I don't have to go through that extra step every time I want to use Steam. Is this a new Steam policy, or is there some setting on my computer that needs changing? Thanks!

Steam either can't store its data, or you're deleting it. If you're talking about browser-logins, chances are you're deleting cookies.

That's a good thought, but I'm using the app to logon. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

1. Check the "save your login info" in the login screen.

2. Important step Also uncheck "don't save account credentials..." in your settings under Steam > Settings > Account after you do login.

3. Log out.

4. Log back in entering all the info minus the account name again.

5. Log out.

6. Check... Log back in to see if it was done correctly.

Yup, the thing to remember here is that Steam uses a fork of Chrome.

So if you use any sort of plugins on the Chrome browser, that can interfere with things.

Thanks for the replies, the problem was with Cyberghost, which I use as my VPN. I had it setup so when Cyberghost connected, it would automatically start up Steam. It worked great for a while, but my issue started recently. Now I just have to startup Steam manually after my VPN connects, which works without asking for my credentials every time.

Glad you got it sorted.

Just a heads up though as I'm not sure whether you're aware - using a VPN with Steam is against the terms of steam you know? I mean if you use it and don't use it to circumvent regions restrictions or anything, you should be fine.

But if you are actively using it within steam, then that's not allowed.
