I loaded Sacred 2 Gold up on Windows 10 1909 because I need that for Xbox Game Pass for PC.
A game you are sure to claim is 'outdated' because you can't run it.
Installed the game. Pressed Play. Game ran flawlessly. I didnt even need to reboot my machine.
Don't blame your system issues and then say a game is 'outdated'. The issue is far more likely to be with your system.
Had one topic like this and almost all games worked in the end
Fun fact near all of old games on Steam can run on Windows 10, as well modem hardware. Most often few people that are seen complaining about not able to run them, yet everyone else able to play it on modem hardware, and OS just fine, only suggest those few people may have no idea what they're doing, and don't even know either they ignore guided on getting to run, or editing file in note pad, or even just getting a simple patch for the game, there even times I seen few people try to play the games with missing drivers that was clearly needed to run the game.
I own many old games, many older than OP even talks about and many in disc form as well. I rarely run into issues getting them to work on Win 10. Games sold on Steam currently all are in the category "will at least boot".
So yeah, list the games, OP. I'm curious which games you can't get to run.
Agree 100% with this, I play more old games than new games and I rarely have issues getting them to run. Those games that do have issues I can usually find a solution easily enough...
The only games I own that will not run are ones that rely on servers that have been forever shut down.
Outdated as it in won't run on your particular pc, but will on other's? What good would that list do for anyone other than yourself?
That was my intention. Just a bit of community awareness. And hey, if they start rebooting games that are more compatible then awesome.
By the way, thank you all for commenting. I just wanted to give a little notice to a few things that could be cleared up. Some awareness but thank you none the less.
1. What OS are you using, as well what bit version you're using asa well?
2. What the system spec, CPU model, GPU model, and RAM amount?
3. On the OS you're using have you fully updated it, as well installed the drivers needed to run the game?
Risen works perfectly fine on Windows 10, all I did was install it, run the setup to install drivers, and it ran.
