Does Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 still worth playing nowdays?
I'm planning to buy this 2 games soon but kinda worried that maybe they aren't that popular this days, so I'm asking before buying this games just to make sure though. Thanks.

And yup, still worth playing. Those are good games with still active players.

Thank you so much for your fast reply sir. I really like this game, me and my cousins used to play this Left 4 Dead 2 before at computer shop but that was only a crack version though downloaded by the shop owner, but still it was really fun despite that wasn't really updated. So, now I got my own gaming PC and planning to get this game but want it online coz I know it will be more fun to play it with other players rather than myself alone in crack version. Also, thanks for giving me advice to just purchase the Left 4 Dead 2 alone rather than getting the bundle that the Steam offers for me. This is my 1st time purchasing a game here on Steam though so I'm still kinda confused on some things like this one... HAHAHA!!! Anyway, as you said that getting the Left 4 Dead 2 alone already has the 1st content and some then I'll just go with it.
L4d2 is very much alive with many people still playing, I am going to re download it as many of my friends are getting back into it again too.

for me personally, both are worth it, get Left 4 Dead 1 for the atmosphere, the horror.
Get Left 4 Dead 2 for slaying hordes of zombies in co-op.

Why get Left 4 Dead 1, if L4D2 has all the campaigns from the first game too?

Does not have native Linux support either. Lower RAM requirement anyways.
But there are some minor stuff what makes it better game for L4D1 survivors.

Do you like killing zombies? If so then yes. But like Cat mentioned, you should probably just get L4D2.

They're super fun. I honestly just wish I'd known that they were "single player with bots" in addition to "multiplayer" back when I first saw them. I'd have been playing a lot more had I known I didn't HAVE to go online with others. :)

Play with friends, don't pub lobby lol. Particularly if you're new at it.
Yeah the greifers can get a bit annoying at times, just don't let them make you hate the games. They are best played with friends so get some or join some custom game servers or groups.

Thank you so much guys for your fast and positive replies about the game. Gotta get the L4D2 next month and I'm so excited about it, specially it's been a while since I last played that game. Also, hoping to meet some good players in-game since I got no friends to play with it for now coz most of my friends and cousins are still busy with their studies.

There still haven't been released anything that's more advanced within the genre. (sigh, and we're talking about a decade old game here! It's quite sad, really) So yes. You may want to play it. I'm not sure what the developers are thinking with all their new games. But they're definitely not heading in the direction I want them to head. Or maybe I'm a dinosaur, on the verge of extinction. You tell me.

Not sure if it's your thing, though. Because I have no idea what you like. It's not exactly DOTA, if that's what you want.

I'm very well aware that L4D2 is a decade old game and since then till now there's not much updates or changes in this game. Also, camparing DOTA 2 to L4D2 is like we are comapring heaven and earth here but still even though L4D2 isn't that big time when it comes to new updates like DOTA 2 or like other games and it is a decade old game already, doesn't change the fact that it's still one of the few good old games that we can still play nowdays especially if you play it with your family or friends. :steamhappy:

Honestly for a game this old, people ARE still doing maps and mods for it, which keeps it quite alive and fun. You'd be amazed at what people still do with Half Life 1 after all, so it's not a surprise that a highly moddable game like l4d is too. :)
