Chances are you were scammed. Contact their support and find out what’s up. If they ignore you or give you the runaround, take this as a lesson learned.

This does sound like the usual scam, yeah.

In addition to the above I strongly suggest you also check this link:

https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

... does this list any kind of entries for you? If so then your account is also on the verge of getting taken over. Remove the key, de-auth other devices and take precautions.

If you used your account credentials on that site, your account is already compromised.
You'd need to follow ShelLuser's feedback, and change your password.

I suggest using the steam community market to buy items from games

None. None of them are safe nor supported by Steam in any way.

Use the market right on steam, period.

that is a scam site and you fell for it like so many other users. you will want to check your bank account to make sure it is secure after the transaction, and you should never link your steam account and guard with sites like that, it is merely an easy tool to get access to your steam account. if you haven't done any such thing, your'll be fine on that end, on the otherhand if you have tried, i'd strongly suggest you run security checks on your account.

I see a upcoming thread by OP:

Help, my account is stolen/Hijacked/Hacked.

Is it an official Steam web page or just a page that looks like it?

Alternatively, does it make you log in to Steam in your browser despite you already being logged in to Steam in your browser?

There is no official site outside of steam itself.

Any others can be a risk and at your own risk.

Your mistake is believing this is going to save you the pain of having your account stolen by having put in the information there in the first place.

The site is KNOWN as a scam site, it's NOT safe.

Not. One. Site. Is. Legit.

Do your steam item trading here and only here.

And in the meantime, be wary of your account security. Change your passwords and secure your devices.

Define "official" in that context. It may be an official Vmarket site, but what exactly does that mean in practice?
