Suggestions for Games
So I've been playing around with the idea of having a video game night. I would like suggestions for fun games that have shared/split screen. I've found a couple of games I think would be great for something like this. Games like N++, BroForce, Octodad, Screencheat, and Death Road to Canada, though last I check it only allowed for 2 players at a time, I'm really looking for games that can support 3-4 players at a time, however 2 player games would be fine, we would just have to take turns. And the game needs to be able to support the steam controller.

Also I'm really interested in lesser known games perhaps, b/c everyone has heard of PayDay, and my group of friends have seen Broforce, as I already own that, N++, and Death Road to Canada, but it would be nice if I could get games that they haven't heard about, it'd be like a nice surprise.

This video game night is going to be more of a once per month thing, so I'd be fine paying $60 for a game, especially if it'll take us more than one night to get through.

Also, I'm curious, Payday 2 would be fun to play and it has the co-op tag but I don't know what that means, since it doesn't have shared/split screen tag. I would like to know if that game would be possible considering we will be playing games on the same TV with controllers.

How old of a group of people are we talking about here?

Big difference on what a group of 14-year-olds would like compared to 35-year-olds.
you could try "earth defence force". it has split screen, mindless shooting, destructible environment and a 99+ level so you get your moneys worth.
You may want to check out ScreenCheat.

It's a game where you're specifically meant to screencheat to win.

Also, there are various Jackbox party games that work well with one screen.

(I would suggest 100% Orange Juice but that requires each player have their own computer. Fun for if you have a group much larger than four people, though, since you can always have a fifth-player spectator broadcasting it to the big screen, and the group won't feel "left out" by not being able to be active players themselves.)

I haven't played PD2, but my guess is that it's just co-op.

Try looking for games with the "Local Co-op" feature.
fiajte si pones -panorama en el comienzo en los parametros de lanzamientos:steamfacepalm:
To answer your question, Drab, we're talking around 17-19 year olds.

And thanks Eska, I'll check it out!
Worms Armageddon is a classic
Battleblock Theatre
Castle Crashers/ Rampage Knight / Lost Castle
20XX
Binding of Isac
Mercenary Kings
Rocket League
Beat Hazard
Speedrunners
Ultimate Chicken Horse

or if you have console, Mario Kart and Smash Bros are instant win.

D'oh, I missed that mention.
Nidhogg for some frantic vs sword play.
Doesnt sound like your looking for fantasy board games, but Talisman is there if you did want to chill out with one.

I forgot to mention that I have binding of Isaac too, and speedrunners is another game I was looking at getting for this. But thanks for the list man!

Yea, I heard about Nidhogg from a YT, Nerdcubed, I myself am not much of a competitve person, but the others very much are, so this would be a good game to get.
I don't need multiplayer, certainly not local -- but I believe

https://store.steampowered.com/app/212480/Sonic__AllStars_Racing_Transformed_Collection/

can support up to 4 local players via splitscreen.
