Lord of the rings: The battle for middle earth RTS series? Who remembers?

The movie license has expired and probably is too expensive to renew, that's why EA cannot rerelease them

No point, Steam does not add games. Publishers sell games through Steam.

Anyway, the licenses expired, game cannot be sold anymore unless the licenses get renewed by the publisher.

It doesn't work like that AT ALL. You have it the wrong way round for a start.

Rights holders, publishers, etc contact Steam to put stuff on the store. And as this game is in legal licensing limbo, like so many old games (in other words, the company's dead and nobody wants to pay to pick up a dead licence) you've got no chance anyway.

Battle for Middle Earth 2 - RIse of the Witch King is still looked after by the community if you wanted to jump back into it. :D totally playable on modern hardware.

I was wondering about this just now as I saw my old discs and thought "shall I?" I've got them out just in case.

Doesn't surprise me - lots of great games out there are lovingly coaxed and cared for by real fans.

That isnt the dlc? You dont need the Base game to play that??

Yeah this is the expansion to the original BFME2 but it's a full game within itself. I think the main game can be patched the same way with another community patch tho.
