How is Humble Bundle in relation to Steam?
I've honestly never bought anything from their store because for the longest time, I thought Humble Bundle was just a term for a bundle of games being sold by specific publishers (yeah, lol). I now notice they have their own sales (currently a Spring sale) much like Steam's. Are their sales usually better or comparable to Steam's, and when purchasing from them, do they come with Steam keys or do they have their own launcher?

Comparable prices. The bundles are usually fantastic deals if you are interested in half or more of the titles. Most of the time they sell Steam keys, but occasionally some bundled games come with keys for the specific publisher's websites (for instance some Assassin's Creed titles in past bundles had UPlay keys).

That's great. I actually just looked now and Ubisoft is currently having a Spring sale on all their titles, with sales ranging from 50-75% off.

I buy the occasional game from Humble Bundle but the real benefit of the store is in the bundles itself. Their best are the 'pay what you want' ones as you can save crazy money on those - I got the Crusader Kings 2 collection for £12 when it was around £200 through Steam for instance. There's also some fantastic themed bundles from various publishers which can net some unbelievable savings and other random ones every week or so. It's not junk games either like you'd expect on some other comparable sites - there are some big names included in these.

their monthly sub is pretty decent, now called Humble Choice. some months are better than others. you can build up a diverse collection of games before you realize it.

The best part is you can pause your subscription on the (subjectively) crappy months and just skip them. I skip about half of the bundles because they don't have enough titles that interest me.

Keep in mind that Ubisoft has it's own store, so those may be Uplay keys and not Steam keys.

Sometimes it's just small things. Like I got a couple of games from the "golden week" sales; while the Steam store and Humblebundle had exactly the same prices (as well as other shops), I did get another 10% or so on top of the sale because of my Humble choice subscription...

They always are. Ubisoft does not sell Steam keys, the only way to get an Ubisoft game on Steam is through the Steam store.

That I'm aware of but I have no issue. I already use their launcher and even their games on Steam require you to use Uplay.

Yes, but here is always a chance that one using a Steam Key could slip though, so I didn't want to make it an absolute statement. I do recall some Ubisoft keys being Steam keys long ago as well.

Just wanted to make sure. I've seen people complain because they thought they were all Steam Keys.

Humble basically has three different kinds of things going on:

* Humble Bundles.
These are bundles of games, and they tend to be excellent deals if you want at least two or three of the games in the bundle. Do be mindful of "beat the average" or "beat the" [whatever price] provisions, which affect the games you get. You used to get these DRM-free + Steam keys, but it's mainly Steam keys nowadays, with some DRM-free, some Origin keys, some Uplay keys.

* Humble Store.
This is a store where you can buy individual games. Their discounts are comparable to discounts elsewhere such as Steam, but they're often not on sale at the same time, which can be pretty handy. And as mentioned above, many games are available as Steam keys, with some available DRM-free, or in the form of keys for other services. It's also common for games that are or were recently in bundles to be on sale in the Humble Store. And also there are occasional free games here.

* Humble Monthly
This is a monthly subscription for some number of games. Probably worth it if you play a lot of games, but I don't have this because I play games too slowly and have a giant backlog. Anyway, the games you get this way are for you to keep. I read that they changed this to Humble Choice, which basically gives you a bunch of different games and lets you choose which ones to keep, based on your subscription. Also you get access to Humble Trove which is a bunch of DRM-free games.

FYI, their payment processor is in California, USA. (This may be relevant for some people's credit cards.)

As for myself, I use Humble Store to get DRM-free games these days.
I used to get Humble Bundles but I've over time built up such a huge backlog of games that I kinda don't feel much reason to pick up games unless they're both specifically games I really want and also quite cheap.
