you should also figure out how you gave the hijacker you log in, they didnt brute force it nor did they get lucky by guessing it.
Cheaters would just fake account hijacks all the time to get to cheat and be unbanned, if that was how these bans worked.
You are responsibile for the security of your account always, and all that happens on that account.
Games with bans cannot be refunded for obvious reasons

The ban is against the account. The account was used to cheat. Cheating accounts get banned. Excuses for who was using the account don't change the fact that accounts that cheat get banned and blaming a hacker, a friend, your little brother doesn't really matter. Admitting the account was used to cheat, "but..." doesn't really help the argument.
And it's going to be at the developer's discretion how lenient they should be towards everyone who claims they've been hacked and don't want to be banned.
