Hacked account and ban on Dead by Daylight

On January 6, 2019 my account was hacked and the hacker got me banned on Dead by Daylight. I got my account back but the Dead by Daylight team would not un-ban me. They said I was banned due to breaking the terms of the game's EULA across multiple accounts. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me with this ?

account security is your responsibility. You will need to make a new steam account and buy the game on the new account. do a better job protecting the new account.

you should also figure out how you gave the hijacker you log in, they didnt brute force it nor did they get lucky by guessing it.

Click the "info" button next to the ban notice on your profile. There, it should clearly explain that even if your account was hijacked or shared, that will not make any difference and the ban will still remain permanent.

Cheaters would just fake account hijacks all the time to get to cheat and be unbanned, if that was how these bans worked.

You are responsibile for the security of your account always, and all that happens on that account.

no, you have a ban, the ban removes the option to refund the game. If people with bans could refund, then cheaters would just make an account and keep refunding.

Games with bans cannot be refunded for obvious reasons

The same thing happend to me now, the whole system is honestly a joke and the people saying that it's your fault are just taking the side of a greedy and unfair company. I gave them hard proof and they didn't do anything to help me.

The ban is against the account. The account was used to cheat. Cheating accounts get banned. Excuses for who was using the account don't change the fact that accounts that cheat get banned and blaming a hacker, a friend, your little brother doesn't really matter. Admitting the account was used to cheat, "but..." doesn't really help the argument.

And it's going to be at the developer's discretion how lenient they should be towards everyone who claims they've been hacked and don't want to be banned.
