How do I see how close I am to completing an Achievement

I'm trying to 100% Brawlhalla atm and I want to see how close I am to beating this one achievement called Go Long and I'm supposed to KO opponents 30 times with thrown items and i want to see how many times I've done that and how many more times I need to do that

Depends on the game.

The Steam achievement system can actually display things like "5/30" as part of an achievement -- but only if the game feeds it that way.

Find the "Cheater of Death" achievement. I'm not playing the game anymore so it's probably not going to change anytime soon, but it does show the current progress as part of the Steam achievement.
On the other hand, if you search for "Plains Prospector" or "Pest Control" achievements -- I can assure you that I have done SOME of that. The game just doesn't tell Steam about the progress.

If it doesn't, the game might be able to show you the current stats somewhere in the game.

Or the game might not show you.

Yeah as stated already it really depends from game to game.

If however, you check in game as some games do offer in game achievement check, it may or may not give you a finer breakdown.

If you check via the overlay it will often give you a better breakdown if it's avaiable, in progress like "kill 100 enemies" will show you how far you've got to go.

But if you look via any other place, they often won't give you the breakdown.

So bascially your best reliance is in game - Shift-TAB to bring up the overlay and click on achievements and it'll show you then.
