Steam wallet to cash?
Is it possible to convert my steam wallet to cash somehow? I have $50 and was needing cash for a game not on steam. Hell I’d even take only $40 if the method took a hit to me. Any tips would be appreciated.

No, you can not launder money and cash out.

It’s not laundering money if it’s money I put in the account. Laundered money is illegally aquired.

STEAM WALLET REFUNDS

You may request a refund for Steam Wallet funds within fourteen days of purchase if they were purchased on Steam and if you have not used any of those funds.

Yea but what if I bought the $50 over a month ago from game stop? I still have the card sitting next to the computer but I used it on my account because I had been planning on getting halo when it came to pc. Now I just don’t really care to do halo because I have been doing Black desert Online. My issue lies here In that BDO devs won’t allow a Website account to be linked to Steam which is freaking stupid being that STEAM HAS THE GAME ON ITS SITE. It’s stupid to keep the website and steam accounts separated. Like I get it that steam takes a cut out of the purchases and such. But BDO doesn’t offer a damn gift card. So they could be gifted through steam gift cards and the company could make extra cash that way. But eh. I started ranting so I’ll cut this here.

Wallet cards have never been refundable. And that is something you need to take up with Gamestop as they sold you the card. They won't help you but they are who you need to direct your questions to.

No it's not possible.

Gift a real life friend you trust a game they want and hope they return the favor by covering you for a few days' worth of groceries.

Tip:stay away from prepaid methods in future. Keep your money on your bank account and use as needed, way more flexibility.

Here pro tip, if you have a bank account, use bank transfer such as PayPal, PaySafe, or etc as you only need to link your bank to those services, then you can use on service to pay for your stuff such as Steam, or etc...

If have credit card, use that, or use bank transfer just like above but link credit card instead.

Allowing cash outs would easily be facilitating laundering money. Just get money illegally, buy giftcard, then redeem it back to cash laundering the money.

It's a reason any site offering giftcards doesn't have a way to turn it back into cash.

there are way too many wways for people to take advantage of that, and instead of doing their due diligence its easier to just not having it, and inconvenience all those who wouldnt take advantage of said situation...this is just one example of the few ruining things for the many.

It has nothing to do with due dilligence. Facilitating those types of transactions are under a whole nother level of accountability and its impossible to prevent illegal use of said features.

After all there is a reason literally every company in the world that offers gift card's don't allow you to convert your giftcards back into cash after buying them

Another reason is simply customer acquisition.

NO
Once you convert currency into this type of system, you can't retransform back into regional-system currency. Everyone should know this by now.

Wallet refunds are possible under certain circumstances.

Cashing out redeemed gift cards have never been a thing.
