Spent my gaming budget on my monitor and next year will be tight too, since I plan on getting a new video card.

Picked up a few DLCs for Euro Truck Simulator 2 that I had my eye on. I am a very happy chap.

I am looking forward to the explorer sale m'self. I want to see what fun categories we'll get to vote on this year.

Part of me is even looking forward to the threads complaining about 'Why no best game category? Or best graphics?"

Yup... I personally love the categories they come up with. They're more thoughtful and require consideration about one's experience.

The fact that they had to explain why they did that last year after all the previous years threads complaining about it.

You'd think it would have been fairly obvious. Also I think what happened is some people were half convinced that the winning game or picking the winning game would net them some special discount or prize.

One change I would make this year is to only be able to nominate games in your library. Or better yet, game's you've played more than say 2 hours.

I got myself Crowntakers. Was looking at a couple of others, but I'll hold out. Couple of games could have a better discount based on the past (looked them up through Steamdb), so I'll wait.
