Metro 2033 Disappeared

I've been looking for Metro 2033 in the shop, and it just disappeared. I found out that it was free and went directly to get it, and when i found it, i tried to open it and Steam got stuck. I restarted it and the game wasn't there any longer.

Does it happen to anyone else?

yeah happens to me to, trying to go through my brother's games and clicking on it,also just puts me at the featured store things

Probably cuz the game is not working on modern systems and we have 2033 redux to replace it. Instead of updating 2033 original, they just decided to remove it.

I'm pretty sure Metro 2033 runs on modern systems without problems.

Agreed.

I think the Redux version simply sold better and had better visuals, so they decided there was no reason to keep the original around.

Not at all. Plenty of people have issues getting it to run. Not just me.

Then talk to the dev's to put it up on sale on steam again.
Nothing steam can do if the dev's pull a game or version of game from steam.

What issues? I just reinstalled it and was able to play without the need of any additional/fan patches or editing of config files.

I'd assume this is less of "modern computers" and more of "some computers".

2K did so as they realesed bioshock/bioshock 2 remasterd. Only remasterd remains.

Why would I? All I did was just offer OP what i think the reason was for the devs to have removed the original. So why would I go contact the devs and demand theyput the old defective version back?
