I need advice about Resident evil

Besides gaming on Steam, Im playing on PS4pro.
There I played a free chapter Resident evil 2 revelations, and i liked it and im considering to buy and start playing Resident evil games.
But there are so many earlier game releases and also bundles. Resident evil remastered, resident evil 6, Origins collection, Umbrella corps, resident evil triple bundle pack.
I'm confused wich ones to buy.
So please your advice wich ones to buy.

The original four are the best of the franchise, but only 1 and 4 are on Steam (until REmake 2 comes in January).

The remake of the first one is amazing. That and RE4 are must-haves. 0 and 7 are a matter of taste. Some like them, some don't, so I'd play the others first.

5 is also polarizing. It's more action-oriented than horror. I don't care much for it but some people like it. You can safely ignore 6 and Umbrella Corps.

These are the traditional and iconic Resident Evil games available on Steam



There is also the upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake to consider. Resident Evil 7 is also a good standalone game in the series. I think it started going downhill after 4 with handheld versions, spin-offs and more Hollywood/action focused games. It's actually turned into quite a bloated series so it was nice to see a more grounded version with the 7th installement albeit first person.

Try picking these up in the next big sale and maybe the complete collection as it'll likely be very cheap. You probably aren't missing anything with 5 and 6 though.

Really, 6 is a fantastic action game. Its just not a good Resident Evil game.
But 5 already left that building. As a pure action spectacle i had a ton of fun with Resident Evil 6 and you get a LOT of content for your money, 4 big campaigns with 8-10 hours each.

Thank you all very muchfor the response. I bought them all :) for a very nice price on the ps4, Halloween special prices. Instead € 160 it was € 57 total

depends what you want, the original games were survival horror like re 1,2,3, code veronica but then you have the action style ones like re 4,5 6.

you got the other ones like outbreak which is good for co-op and survivor which is like first person on rails.

re 7 is a move back to survival horror but not so much about zombies, its about a different thing.

You are very nice to offer me that key👍. I have Resident evil on PS4 now. So thank you and I appreciate your offer, but it's a waste to get it on steam to. Make someone happy that hasn't bought Resident evil.
