PSN and Steam does have one thing in common - the publishers of the respective games set the prices within the digital stores. Prices aren't that important either as you can get games on PC very cheap if you shop around plus PC has a far greater selection of titles and if you have the hardware, even better.
And that's just the normal free to play ones while other games have free weekends or go free to play at times as we have seen with many.
Prey for example is EUR 14.99 for both
Thief is EUR 4.49 on Steam and EUR 3.99 on PSN.
But there are still huge discrepancies on some titles:
Mad MAx is EUR 4.99 on Steam and 12.99 on PSN
ARK was around EUR 28 on PSN last week, it's 19.79 on Steam now.
But on the other hand I picked up the BF 4, BF 1 and Hardline for 20 and NfS: Rivals, NfS, and NfS: Payback for 30 last week as well. Complete/Deluxe/Premium Edition on ALL OF THEM.
XBox is the around the same.
Big bonus on the consoles are the "free" games that come with the subscription. Quality is highly volatile, but if you pay it anyway to play online it's a huge bonus. Especially if you own more than one supported console.
I'm still trying to clear my PS3 backlog from this.
