is this some sort of new scam copypasta?
I see you have many useless craftable TF2 items So I can give one of my hats for all of them.

No idea,
never played team fortres,
but if they are useles why would they want them ?,
possibly a new expansion, patch or something coming out that would make them very valuable ?.

Yeah, I saw it a few days ago. The scammer posted it on to a moderator's comments LOL

Not every scammer is smart.

While this looks like a scam, i fail to see the actual evildoing here. Trading someome some somewhat useless junk for a hat (which is considwred valueable) isnt an issue.

The link in the user profile's main page is not a Steam Trade offer link, or even a steamcommunity link. One can guess what happens next.

So, to answer the original question : Yes, it is a scam copypasta. Report on sight via their profiles and do not engage in any way past that.

Yeah. And somehow they are able to bypass the system so that despite not being a Steam/Google/YouTube link, it does not show the .[http//small+url+text] that the usual links would show.

I am pretty sure once found the way they did it and reported it, will be surprised if it's not fixed from back then
I will see if I can try to remember what was the way to bypass it to create a link without the small text near it

Not every scammer is smart.
Most likely its bots that just post on random profiles or something, or collecting from groups and the like so it does not care if its a mod or someone else as even one bot been ban there tons more of them
